As long as its not a curved trannie landing.

The first one I would at least straight air with full padding. Fuck the vert at the end though

If I went to that IRL, and didn't skate it, I would live in regret for the rest of my life.
If I died on it, I would have died exactly how I wanted to.

exactly. my choice of suicide methods would be to strap on my skates and drop in on the outside of a nuclear cooling tower:

I'm pretty sure that's not a nuclear power plant, Fast Eddie, I think that's where they keep all of the Aunt Jemimas syrup ;) The mural leads me to that conclusion anyway....

The hardest part about the mega ramp is not pussing out. . .or maybe just keeping up the leg strength to hold up against the quick G force the kicker/launch would give. Then it's just a landing from there. The ramp and launch will give you enough time/space to clear the gap/flat. So that shouldn't be a big issue. It's just rolling away at the landing. And even if you fall...it seems those are built well enough that you don't slam as much as you kind of slide into the landing. I dunno...that's just how it seems to me from watching the over exposure of the "mega ramp".
And really....if Travis Pastrana can back flip one on a fucking kids tri-cycle then I can straight air it. Of course...I'm only talking the short jump. I'd piss myself just thinking about the big gap.

what if you accidentally landed it?

true. But travis Pastrana is one of the craziest motherfuckers alive, so shit. I definitely want to skate one though. Straight air as well. Fuck all that other shit.

That really only needs two panels of skatelite for a roll in, but I guess Nike SB wants their riders safe.
Didn't Taig Khris already prove that its possible to skydive into the properly angled ramp?
I know terminal velocity wasn't reached, but maybe a squirrel suit hybrid would compensate.
I am interested in the huge arches that Lockheed Martin have proposed:
Magnetic Levitation Launch Assist
Magnetic levitation — or maglev — technologies could help launch spacecraft into orbit using magnets to accelerate a vehicle along a track. Just as high-strength magnets lift and propel high-speed trains and roller coasters above a guideway, a maglev launch-assist system would electromagnetically drive a space vehicle along a track. The magnetically levitated spacecraft would be accelerated at speeds up to 600 mph and then shift to rocket engines for launch to orbit. A 50-foot track was built at Marshall in mid-1999 for testing and design analysis of maglev concepts for space propulsion. Scaled demonstrations of maglev technology will be conducted on a 400-foot track also planned at Marshall.
