Don't see what the issue is with Issac working for / with Powell - Eulogy is a separate entity he owns. Issac is one of the most dedicated people in our sport, supporting TRUE rollerbladers who deserve to be paid such as Dalnas, Paz, Franco etc, the list goes on. His ability and skill with creating bearing technology / bearings, and urethane has led to Eulogy being by far the best wheel in our industry. It's not like he goes home at night sniggering that he is a skateboarder taking rollerbladers money, not even close. Far as I'm concerned nobody can say a bad word about Issac and Eulogy he supports contests, people and yeah just had to put my 2cents out there.

In general; what I don't understand is why people (in the US) think b/c they have a "job" they are entitled to health insurance that is provided by their employer. When my employer wasn't providing me with health coverage, I paid for it myself ($110/month). You do have that option. If your employer isn't paying you enough for the things you need/want, you have the option to find new means of income.

Maybe that's Colin case here but really, who cares? Most of us skate for the fun of it anyway and really could care less about the politics unless it's just for entertainment sake, even us flow skaters. I know in my case, I moved on from the thought of being "pro" long ago. I got myself "educated," and got a job in the real world. I might have been kicking and screaming but it wasn't until then that I acheived the enlightenment that this is just a hobby and it's okay to continue to do it. If you were one of the unfortunate to put all your eggs in the "pro" basket, then you have no one to blame other than yourself. No matter what you were told. Filming, capturing pics, competing, being sponsored, playing S-K-8, etc... all for fun.

BTW, 1 video section per year =/= pro anymore.

Also a thought that has been bothering me for sometime is why don't pro skaters take more control of their careers and get some outside sponsorship instead of depending on an industry that just recycles money back and forth and pays them like shit. Just working hard to become a status quo pro only earns you a part time salary, and leaves you just short of "living the dream." You want to live the dream as a pro skater, you're gonna have to work a little harder.

Yeah, pro athletes in other sports have agents, managers, etc. You gotta spend money to make it.

i'll admit that the state of "AMs" in rollerblading is ridiculous. i personally think that 95% or more should not be AMs. the level of skating is just trash. but some of that has to do with people like Colin, who is a pro but lets his level of skating fall off hard, too. you wanna go skate curbs and then bitch when other shitty skaters get flow/am or pro? that's a pot calling the kettle black.



right now, IMO, mark wojda is the only sick thing about rollerblading. period.
