bringing a ladder?

i was watching stay gold and i noticed how many long lens shots were filmed from a higher vantage point like a tree or something. i feel like having a ladder would be sick to film shit. your thoughts.

Most people go on roofs, top of cars, fences, etc... I know I've done it a few times.

I've seen ladders used alot in skiing cine, mostly halfpipe stuff to get up there. I always look for climbable shit if possible, just to switch up the vantage point... cause if its there its good to take advantage, since you're on level ground most of the time you shoot skating.
