Think of the local economy, without people visiting Bay66 how will all the hood rats get money? There will be no one to mug anymore.

Not sure how I feel about this. The park has sucked for ages and is generally run by unprofessional skateboarders who arrive late all the time and act like dicks to bladers, or at least to me. The helmet rule which allows a 6 year old skateboarding beginner to ride helmet free whilst me as a 28 year old competant and aware blader has to wear a lid is rediculous. All or nothing in my book - everyone can fall, regardless of the discipline.

Maybe if it closes someone will make a REAL indoor park in london and run it in a fair way for all disciplines.

Still, maybe someone won't make a new park and bay66 is better than nothing on a rainy day.

Fuck it, I hardly go there and I won't be sad if it goes.

Daniel Bond, you made a few good points there but will there ever be a decent indoor park in london as you know land or warehouses aint cheap! So it may never happen, your right about how it is run,i never did get why bladers have to where helmets its unreal that young skateboarders dont have to where a lid. I have bin there a hand full of times im going sometime soon because this snow is holding me back haha, it would be nice to see a park like unit 23 or rampworx where bladers are treated with respect, unlike bay66 like you said!

i grew up with the place, but i think it is a terribly run skatepark...with money being its main reason, not to give the local skating community somewhere to chill and hang when its raining....

i barely go there these days, havent been for years...indoor skateparks, i think im with dan on this one

ill just be sad never to see my babe, the greaseburger lady, ever again
