its sick...def worth having....just valo vid did beat it to dirt....game theory had some wild tricks in there...dudes got skills....but i think the filming/editing took it down a lil...
There were only a couple of times when the filming or editing annoyed me. The rest of the video was exciting to watch and made me want to skate. That's what matters the most, IMO.

I didn't think it was anything special. I really liked Mathias Silhan's blading though. Aragon laced some power moves, but nothing too different than accidental machines or any other section of his. I'll save my money for 4life. With skaters like Broskow and the Valo dudes you usually get something a little different each time.. but watch any Razors video and they're all pretty similar.

Murda, Aragon, Julian and Horn have similar style? Murda is one of those persons who have personal/unique style, and not a single pro skates like him.
Aragon has a super clean and technical style that most of razors FLOW riders try to copy.Even if Julian is a bit wacked and uneducated douche, his street skating is still enjoyable to watch and in every section of his he do at least one thing that is different and new, or at least something fucking amazing. And Horn is a totally different story from all of them.

They all look pretty similar though, because if you look at icons and ego you have most of the same skaters, and of those bladers-- Aragon, Murda, Horn, etc-- most of them have a very similar style and spot/trick selection as they've had in past sections. Compare that to how much someone like Broskow or Farmer's skating has evolved in the same time period. Also, you have a lot of SoCal footage and then various contributed footage--some good filming, some not so great shots-- all thrown together and arranged into sections. I like how 4life is both a team video and a tour video and has a bit of a story and concept to it. Good enough for you?

im glad the mini broskow pic i posted in the trend thread made it this far, and yes everyone jocked a pro when they were young difference is i never recall dressing exactly like dl because to this day he is and will be my fave skater.
i might have worn jeans and polo hats while skating usds but i wore jeans and polo hats since my mom dressed me as a baby.
the only thing i remember jocking was having to be able to fish just like dl...... nor did i ever become such a faggoty fan boy that i hated whatever things dl wasnt in on. when dl started doing the parkour shit i never went that direction and half the rollerblading population said it was gay yet now adays everyone is on the super tall tee and skinny ass pants, while rocking valos and hating on anything broskow doesnt have his hands in.
i wont lie i wear vx's a size bigger so they dont hug my nuts but fit like fitted pants, i never did this cause of broskow i did this cause my tricks look 10000 times better when my clothes arent flopping in the way.

The most recent video I saw was an imyta video, so as a fresh opinion, I want to see both videos. I think v4l will be more of a chill video with some great skating, while game theory would be full of amazing tricks and huge hammers. In short I think both would be amazing and I can't choose between them so I would probably just buy them both.

Editing looked really cheap, washes/saturations pissed me off
roman abrate's section was actually pretty sick with decent steeze, not total speen to ween.

Ehhh...Brazil talked a whole bunch of shit on AJ's stuff saying his 5 year old niece could make a better video..so I wouldn't really be the one to give the guy the break on saying 'it was his first video'. Afterall, with saying that he set his own bar pretty high.
As for Beau, I know he started doing a lot of really good BMX videos and other stuff. He is for sure still involved with filming..with no doubt he would still be the shit. For sure. Having pretty skates is more important than anything else. Who gives a shit about fit, durability, the way grinds feel, flex and the rest of those useless characteristics skates have.

That example wasn't extreme at all, it was just my personal opinion.
Stockwell has a crazy fakie game, and Aragon's skating has always been cool-ish to watch but I haven't gotten excited from any of his recent footage. That being said, I haven't seen his Game Theory section, but as of now, my opinion is that an edit of Stockwell doing fakie lines would be better than ANY of Aragon's footage from the past 2 years.

I liked Game Theory, if you know what to expect editing wise,it's just another razors video with the classic next level blading. I thought Valo was a lot more enjoyable to watch (just for b.smith and bailey alone) but Game Theory definitely delivered what it was supposed to.
Someone upload Game Theory and pm me the link. I will then watch the video and make the final decision on which video is better.

UP TO $350 Complete(M12's are complete) The tv's are made in china I believe. roces and valo pro models are made @ the same facility I believe in Italy. so If you compare a pair of $330 Arlo's or JJ's Complete with frames and 8 urethane wheels manufactured in Italy to M12's made with the same level of quality,its a ridiculous price difference just for basically a skin. The fucking amall denim's with
plastic middle wheels(no extra bearings) are $360

i've watched both 4life and game theory. i've also been reading people's comments on facebook (where real names are used) about both films.
BOTH films received extreme responses of the "This video changed my life! Best Video Ever" to "Worst Video Ever."
It really comes down to the individual who is watching it and what their preferred styles are and how tolerant they are to the other style. (pretty obvious that 4Life and Game Theory are exact opposites of filming, editing, and skating.
Key factors that come into play when watching these videos:
1) Do you skate Valo or Razors?
2) Does your crew/best friends skate Valo or Razors?
3) Do you have any negative associations to the other brand? Perhaps you met one of their pros and they were an asshole to you
4) Maybe one video used a song, that was the favorite song of your old best friend who stole your ex girlfriend... basically some sort of negative association to the music that sticks with you and you feel bad whenever you hear a specific song or style of song.
5) If you are a filmmaker and are jealous of Brazil for making it to the top of our culture so quickly? Jealousy can play a big role here. Unaccomplished videographers often hate on him... whereas I see professional skate video makers saying nothing but great things about Game Theory (including: Adam Johnson, Vinny Minton, Beau Cottington)
In my opinion they were both dope.
My two sentence review:
Valo: Consistant filming and editing, overal "chill" vibe with the distinct Valo flow/creative style skating to what felt like elevator music.
Game Theory: Shot with a ton of different cameras (lots of contributed footage) but edited epicly like a superhere movie of your favorite skaters doing hammers, feels like an epic gatorade commercial with dope skating.
Boom

Valos have different souls, liners, frames, buckles, and everything else than m12s. Also adding a skin prolongs the life of the boot and provides the option to cut out parts of the boot or lace only the skin eyelets to get a completely different fit and feel than the m12. The same goes for Nimh.. yes they start with a cult shell but the end product and overall performance of the skate is completely different. I can't even put my feet in size 9 cults, but my size 9 Nimhs are the best things I've ever ridden. So referring to these skates as a m12/cult with a skin is retarded.. its like judging an extremely souped up sports car by the performance of the stock version of the car.
