Specifically the new hd's

Can you tale the negative soul plate off? I next to never do negative tricks, so these are wasted on me.

Anyone know if this is doable while not fucking up the integrity of the skate or whatever...

You can take them off to save weight, but the skates will look asymmetrical. Think of how ugly Salos with widebodies looked. If looks don't bother you, then go ahead. However, I think that whatever weight savings you get is going to be negligible.

Thanks. I'm looking more to reduce the perceived awkwardness the negative plates make me feel like they would present me. But they may not pose any problem at all. I feel like they might get in the way of me striding maybe.

They could also be the same as my downtowns negatives, but I don't have the option to remove them.

I have though about this, but wouldn't it fuck up the boots when doing fastslides, royales, frontsides... ?

Don't care. I don't sit on my royales like kevin yee or whatever his name is.

Non issue for me.

But I doubt it would be an issue at all. You might get some rubbing but nothing to cause alarm.

I took the negative plates off mine. a lil wear to the negative side of the boot would be neglible for me currently. and i just think they look better with just positive plates.

more important question would be could you replace postives with negative because everyone one has snapped their soulplates.

If your feet aren't too wide or high volume, get M12. Best performing skates I ever had.

I had some high cuff pre-ufs ones I liked a lot.
Size 9 m12s are becoming a commodity that is more and more rare.

I can't see how you would snap the soulplates unless you are doing 12 foot disasters on everything you skate, but yes you could take the negatives off. But then you can't do negative tricks...

I'm not worried about breaking anything anymore. Or negatives for that matter haha

I don't know what I will end up with.

I'm over negatives. Did em a bunch on my trs access, never got really good at them, while they are fun from time to time, haven't done a negative trick in I don't know how long.

Os4's. And get sixwonsix(Night) UHMW souls! Great potential there. Especially since you don't do negatives.

I took my negative plates off and I can still do negatives and It save a good amount of weight. I have had 2 pairs and the souls did not snap.
