so i got a little money and thought it would be nice to get myself a projector to hook my macbook pro in and to play xbox on

was looking at the Vivitek D510 as it comes 3d ready as well as hd ready

anyone know mnuch about projectors? should i invest or is it pointless?

you need to spend atleast a G to get a projector that does 1080p....even at 720 its pretty much not worth it....and then a screen....sound....I think people just like the idea of having a projector thinking it will lead to this big screen movie experience or something....maybe people do like it....but the quality of that picture w/o a screen at 800x600 is pretty ridiculous

projectors are definitely on a higher level then a tv....the cheap ones are kinda bullshit....better off saving up a few more hundred and getting a 30-40" 1080p tv.
