Rode Mic when filming with DSLR Wideangle?

so im getting myself a d7000 and planning to get myself a Rode mic to go along with it....ive got a sigma 10-20 and just wondered if the mic stuck out enough to peek into the top of my frame when im filming with my wideangle lens??

People use the Rode with fisheyes so I would think it'd be ok.

itll probably show, just get a cold shoe that will hold the mic off to the side of the camera by connecting it to the 1/4'' hole at the bottom

make sure your not a FAGGOT! and use MAGIC LANTERN for DSLR audio.... fixes any excess noise
