Able frames

How come nobody seems to like these for riding flat? It seems like there would be a lot of wheel coverage, plus 8mm axles would roll really nice. The split even seems pretty good. Is there any other reason other than them being kind of ugly and heavy?

Whenever flat frame discussions come up every frame by GC and Fifty 50 get named but never ables. Is there something I'm missing? Al, I need some answers

I say 1st Gen Ables every time a flat discussion is up. Seriously perfect for flat. Some people do not like the triangle H-block but it covers the wheels so well. 2nd Gen's are good as well. Then new ones look like complete crap.
