Did you need to be operated on or a bone graft?
How long did you have a cast on?
How long till you skated again?

I didnt have to operate but i did have to have a cast on for aaaages. It takes twice as long as any other bone in the body to heal. I think i had a cast for about 4 months but skated pretty much the whole time, casts are strooong!

I broke mine, had surgery with bone graft and a titanium pin put in. It was pretty much broke in half and dead for a year, unbeknownst to me prior to my sugery. Last time I saw a doctor about it was @6 years ago and they said it hadn't healed and was back to pretty much dead. I skated with the cast then brace, don't do that shit. Making injuruies worse with impatience, story of my life.
TLDR: wait till its completely healed to do anything.

impossible, I have to work.
Managed to argue them down to a week and a half off when I return I train someone.
I broke mine in each wrist, my wrist flexibility is basically nonexistent. Luckily I didn't have to get a pin or anything, just a cast.
Cool story bro.

Broke my left one years ago, thought it was just sprained or something for about six months. Then someone collided with me at the park and broke one of the bones in my hand. Went in for that and they saw the broken scaphoid.
Had surgery, they put in a screw and grafted a piece of bone and an artery from my arm. Had a shitty doctor who probably spent ten minutes with me total ever. He prescribed an electric bone growth stimulator but prescribed wayyy too much use of it.
So my scaphoid healed/grew back, but too well: it grew a big bump upwards, which hits the arm and hand bones and inhibits my range of motion. I should be able to rotate my hand up and down about 150 degrees or so... I have about 60-70 degrees tops. There's a big ugly bump on that wrist, it hurts really bad when I push on anything with that hand, and it's made me incredibly right-hand dominant. It sucks, and I don't have insurance to get it fixed.

My brother broke his when he crashed his bike. Didn't go to hospital until 9 months later, when it was still broken and starting to hurt like hell. He had some titanium screw put in his and was in a cast for 3 months and then a support for two more months.
