View Full Version : d5000 v's d7000
ive been using the d5000 lately for video, and i get a problem with lines running through the footage in certain light conditions, you can see what i mean in this edit,
also the sound mono sound sucks, just wondering if any knows if this problem happens with the d7000, or if they have a solution to it on the d5000
Those lines are from the floursecent lighting flickering in the skatepark, and you're going to run into that with just about every DSLR.
I think the only way to deal with it is to adjust shutter speed, but you're going to have to lower it to a point that you probably wont like for skating.
The D7000 has flicker reduction settings for fluorescent lighting.
got the d7000 and havent run into the problem yet, also inbuilt mics suck overall so i got myself a rode mic to fix this
d5000 sucks for video unless it's a sunny day...I bought mine just for photography but I wish I would've considered the video aspect :(
went for the d7000 in the end got a mic to, heres some raw footage from the first day i had it out,
much better then d5000, :-D
