Hmmm . . .
Thinking of attending? I'd say you have a <1% chance of gaining admittance. UC schools are hard enough for Cali residents to get into.
Gatsby?
bingo
i transferred too if you got questions let them fly

Basically, how hard would it be to get in as a transfer student?
where did you take your community college classes? that is the most important factor and from there i can give you an answer

Hillsborough Community College for 1 year and then I'd transfer to another community college out there (it doesn't matter to me as long as it's near that area) for the last year.
If you take classes at a community college near berkeley, that will help. Those schools have special consideration from berkeley. Just keep your GPA up and take classes that pertain to your major. Keep talking to counselors just to make sure youre not getting side tracked. I dont go to berkely, but i go to UCSC so i went through a similar, but slightly less demanding process. you can do it though, the key is just staying on track.
the short answer is that you have to be on top of your shit in terms of making sure that you complete ALL requirements; that your classes from Florida probably won't be UC transferrable (though you should definitely try anyways) and that you would have to do the two years at an accredited CA community college; and that minimum GPA would be B+, a solid A GPA + all breadth requirements+ all major requirements + all classes verified to be UC transferrable= guaranteed admission
the UC system and California community colleges are integrated into each other, which is a beautiful system and makes transferring relatively seamless
but hillsborough is a florida school. the only problem with that is that you need to get a UC Berkeley person to verify that your classes are transferrable. i've heard that can be problematic. never take the word of the community college adviser by itself on this one, you must verify with UC Berkeley that they accept those courses as transferrable. the worst case scenario is that you would have to retake similar. courses that you have already completed. most CA community college classes have been guaranteed to be up to the standards of the UC classes and next to the course description they will have a symbol that says they are UC transferrable. if they do not have this you shouldn't be taking the class.
community college students have to satisfy all the requirements of this thing called IGETC (I-Get-C). it is the community college equivalent of what UC students do in their first two years, which is all the lower division work that stretches across most of the disciplines: the goal being, like all universities, that their graduates are fairly worldly and have basic knowledge and thinking skills in math, science, ethics/philosophy, social sciences, a foreign language
it looks like this http://collegeofsanmateo.edu/forms/docs/IGETC_Form.pdf
so that is the basic breadth requirements that need to be completed
but on top of that, each major (i'm in history) has specific requirements where you must take certain classes in CC. it is an automatic rejection if you do not have all the courses. I got rejected from UCLA because i was missing one of the courses that was a prerequisite. most community colleges in CA have a specific set of courses that have been coordinated with the UC system, all you need to do is follow that schedule and complete those courses.
that can be reached from assist.org
type in the Berkeley community college and a major to see an example
it was daunting for me but the point is to weed out any applicants that are not serious
so what you would need to do is:
1) talk to a UC Berk adviser and see if any of your courses are transferrable
2) pick a major or a general area that you are interested in. you have to do that from the start because you need to declare a major when you apply
http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/major/majorlist.html
3) take classes that satisfy the general breadth requirement. these can and should overlap with classes required for your major
4) get decent grades
5) go to school at one of the best universities on earth and one of the chillest, satisfying intellectual environments on earth
worth every bit of effort it requires. i'm really proud of the transfer system and i'm always down to help out others through the process
gatsby pretty much layed it all out perfectly, but pay attention to this especially:
never take the word of the community college adviser by itself on this one, you must verify with UC Berkeley that they accept those courses as transferrable.
Youre going to run into a lot of red tape because the transfer process is overly bureaucratic. Im not trying to discourage you, even if you make mistakes you can stil get in as long as you have a good gpa and the right classes, but avoiding these little problems that arise when dealing with counselors will make the whole ordeal less of a headache. Again, I transferred to UCSC, so my requirements were not as demanding, but overall its a similar process.
