Perfect example of how speed checking will get you broke in snow sports... I don't have the slightest idea how somebody attempting such a stunt could somehow let themselves take off sitting back seat like that. If it was me I would be so scared to clip the rail that I would nollie it and touch my knees to my nipples.

haha damn that sucks, I actually filmed with some of the chicks that have parts in peep show, they are really good at snowboarding but that was such a bad fall

I don't think there are any female snowboarders that could do that large of a disaster to a jib. She was prob just trying to gap it, which it really looks like relatively smooth setup, she just fucked it up.
A male would have laced that shit. I don't even snowboard but that seemed like a pretty simple gap on a snowboard.

She's not trying to take off like that..... she knew as soon as she left the hit that she shorted it, and put her board forward to take the impact, but obviously wasn't thinking that she elevated high enough. Too bad for her.... and I'm also thinking she was trying to slide that rail, not actually gapping over it. Could be wrong on that.

everyone falls in these types of sports. you can't predict everything.

Yes, everyone falls in these sports, but not everyone comes up short and crashes into an obstacle simply because people fall.
In snowboarding and skiing you typically have to build a ramp and rely on the physics to get you to the landing, that's why its uncommon to see people landing flat (you crater because of too much downward momentum). The only reason she came up short was because she caught an edge that slowed her down, speed checked, or wasn't thinking when they set that up. Jumps are all about speed. Too much and you land flat and get hurt, too little and you knuckle and get hurt. If you make it to the landing its almost difficult to get injured. The majority of the sport is working up the balls to get yourself comfortable hitting jumps like that.
She obviously wasn't comfortable, her approach is the proof.
