Anybody got the inside scoop on this here ville? I am 90% sure I will be studying there for the whole upcoming school year. What are you thoughts? Skating scene decent? Music scene? Bar scene? Just overall opinions would be nice.

Lille is a beautiful town , a really nice place to party because there are lots of students (more than 100 000) and a real passion for beers !

There is an indoor park, quite nice and very useful because the weather is not always that good (I mean most of the Time not good of course)

Right next to the indoor there is a pretty nice street park too :

And there are also lots of spots in the town , the most famous are around Euralille , wich is a big mall near the train station .It used to be a meeting point for sessions. Here an edit of a street contest that took place last year on those spots :

Another good thing is that you are only 45 Minutes by car from the Forward Freestyle Skatepark / Shop , and 40 minutes by train From Bruxelles , wich is also a great town for visiting/partying/skating

If you are there the first week end of september, you will see the biggest "garage sales" that cover almost all the town and attracts more than 2 millions of people (and probably me this year !)

By the way, I'm sure you will have a great Time there , I lived there for my first 18 years , and I come back as often as I can .

The fact is that Lille is only 20 minutes from Belgium , so you can find Belgian beer (Best of the world) everywhere.

And for Hoss, I'm also thinking of two other Skatepark

Wevelgem (30 minutes by car from Lille) called Zumiez that is pleasant :

yeah the indoor/outdoor one i checked out online. I surely will not have a car while i'm there, but i do plan on traveling aroud as much as possible. Thats awesome that there are contests and shit. I am pumped. I would like to meet some be-maggers while abroad. And hopefully abuse the fuck out of Couchsurfing. Depending on when exactly school starts, I may go down tw0-three weeks early and try and bum around for a while. We shall see... but ya ty tyz
