Jesus, another one?
Mexico got hit by a 6,5 a few minutes ago as well.
I hope this is not an indication of things to come.
May John Cusack protect us.

Earthquakes have been happening constantly since the earth's crust formed.
We now have better technology to capture and report every single seismic bump that occurs. Because of this, we hear about them much more frequently. The Earth is not coming to an end, at least it won't in our lifetime.

all I know is the 90yo grannies say that they have never experienced anything like this. Earthquakes, yes. M6+ earthquakes every day for a month, no.

That's because 90 year old ladies are stupid. Don't listen to the things they say, at one point they were also 16 year old girls.

Yeah, no shit the world isn't going to end. Everyone with half a brain knows that. But that doesn't mean periods of increased seismic activity don't occur, which is what I was referring to.

every generation foresees the end of the world in their lifetime. thats because humans are egomaniacal.
Just have a look at what's happening outside of our planet for clues. It's always strange that everyone on Earth reports on these big events without taking into consideration alignments of planets and sun activity ect. I learned a very interesting factoid the other week. Every single time Earth has aligned with Jupiter on opposite sides of the sun for the last 18 straight years, a major earthquake has happened. The force of gravity within our solar system tugs and pulls on different planets in different ways, yet we don't even mention these things in the news. Fucking odd.

Planets and gravity are dumb and no one cares. Makes perfect sense.

Our planet isn't the only one going through crazy shit right now...
As Garret said, alignments, gravity, and the sun is what it's all about.
