I don't think there has been one yet... But This competition, out of all the other competitions in the WRS series is by far the most exciting. The park that was chosen blew my mind. Been watching the event for years and seeing the different changes from parks, to structure of the competition. Fucking great. Really. I can see this competition being rivaled to the BCSD or even the Winter Clash in the near future.

I personally never went, but I am going to make it a point to go next year. As long as I can get a promise that Gregg is Cool will be doing the announcements. One of the key elements to having a successful event is having a successful MC. I've found in the past having two MC's in sync with each other is a great combination. I've also seen that fail miserably.

My hats off to you Blake. keep being that late night sneaky uncle I always dream about.

blake and greg work well together because blake just lets his feelings about tricks known, greg adds a little humor along with constant calling out skaters and tricks!

Best comp ever. Blake knows how to organize an event and show everyone a good time. I've been to every one since the second year when it was still a street comp. Can't wait till next years comp

Wow, thank yo so much jonathon. It's the little things like these that let me know the event is trending to be in the right direction. At one point it was my goal to mirror the bcsd and try to move in to his demographic. However, I no longer intend to copy that event and go after his attendance. The main goal of the pow wow is to build the Florida scene, and create numbers that just weren't there before.
That's what I did this year, and we added nearly 200 people to the already 300 who normally attend. 500 in total. Pros were less, out of state was inconsistent as usual but Florida showed up deep. Old, and new school. You should see the Miami scene after the event. We just had a 30 person session/BBQ last weekend. Our weekly sesh reaches up to 40 kids on the reg. Next year is only going to get bigger with more pros, and more obstacles, etc...

I will also tell you this. Do not give up on the wrs. Do not buy into the conspiracy talk b/c it's not about that at all. I am personally assisting with issues that are addressed here on the reg, and trying to assemble this thing in to what I believe it can be. It just needs some tlc from supporters willing to input their spare time b/c it really is only 2 people pushing to make it succeed.

As for this year's format, it was not what it was supposed to be. Due to my wife's accident, it really threw the assignments out of whack. However, with all that went down I was able to explain my vision, and planning to a select few that were able to carry out the event. I showed up from the hospital to an event already in process, and was literally so drained, I kind of just checked out for the day. I helped announce, but Greg and Juan really stepped up with the mc.

I hate to say it like this but the accident was almost a blessing for the pow-wow b/c it forced me to step aside, and put my trust in others. Prior to that, i was a one man show. It will only help the event in the long run.

Anyway, thanks again. My wife is getting on me about wasting the day on be-mag so i gotta run.

-Johnnyboy Crites got slapped in the face with black spray paint at the lowlife life booth this year. He looked so mad. Kind of funny though.
-Kyle was the winner of the best black eye. He got knocked out by Steve doyle. It was so bad. Btw the face punching thing was so lame IMO but you gotta love'em

-the hotel we stayed at (kings inn) had a crazy animal infestation with an armadillo and a raccoon! we were fucking with them all night but they would just keep coming back!

I forgot about teh coons! Who nailed one with a beer bottle? I was so sure it would be a close miss and the bottle would break all over the parking lot, but it was a dead hit, didn't break the bottle, and scared the shit out of the raccoon :lol:

Then I ate so much Papa John's and made a number of folks jealous.

The edits were awesome, Kona looks fucking epic and what you said about explaining your vision to a select few shows that the scene is 100% behind you & the event. You've made Pow Wow the BCSD of the south, and you've earnt everything that comes with it. The boot company owners love you because you make them money, in a market where they don't have much promotional presence. So make sure you're getting what you're worth to them.

First day got there 10 minutes late to compete, dehydrated and starved. competed made the first cut, fell on a trick, called it quits. later that day going down the snake run i collided with some dude and fell down some concrete steps made for spectators, hurt alot. old man comp, was awesome, ----- torres KILLED IT. bladies were awesome and really topped my expectations. the pro comp was awesome for what i saw (had to leave early b/c my mom's back was killing her).

me and my group had so much fun, great times were had. i really liked the park, though it was made for high-speed collisions. the atmosphere was great, sitting next to jesse p for half of it. i don't know why more pros didn't come out, would be great to see more in future years.

the only thing Pow Wow needs to rival BCSD is a full scale trade show. i was glad to see that CFR, M1, and low life had booths though.

this was my first pow wow, i loved it and definitely plan on coming out in future years.

I'm going next year too. For sure. Every rollerblader I've ever met from Florida are some of the most incredible people on the planet. I look back on the time I spent there skating, partying and chilling with some of these dudes as the most fun I've ever had in my entire life. I've been trying to make yearly visits to go see all of my old friends from FM and St. Pete and just never end up doing it. Time to change that.

Hmm, last year I opened the door to go under the vert ramp, and there was a party under there complete with keg, and other activities. That was fun for a minute.

I wish I could let the cat out of bag of who broke the sink last year. That was a funny story to figure out. I gave my word though.

Oh, did you know 2 couples have homeymooned at the pow-wow? My wife and myself, and last year brendon from casualty, and his wife. How many contest can say that?

Thank you, Blake for putting such a great event together. It allowed me to have an awesome weekend. Thanks to Justin Eisinger and Ben Karris with One for giving me a reason to not get too wasted during the comp. Thanks to IFT for hooking me up with Papa Johns. alright well heres the story form the begining
met her wednesday... started talking saying wer both cute basicly liking each other.
i said i wanna hang out soon on thursday she said i vote your house tomorrow...i said deal
so friday i was planning on getting a macbook pro she came over we went to get the laptop i bought with my own money
went back messed around on photobooth and what not sitting next to each other and i was staring at her monroe piercing then made a move
she grabbed the back of my hair and stuck her tongue in my mouth i enjoyed that... so lil later she sits on my lap and we go at it some more
started fingering her for like 4 mins then said i think i need a condom...she said yeah you do! went up got 4 came back
she sucked me then fucked me then my dad woke up so we had to get dressed real fast lol
then after he left we got it on for like 45 mins
i didnt cum we stopped cause her dad came to pick her up so i ended getting blue balls but all together good
