http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_debt_by_U.S._presidential_terms

I was curious about this the other day because a lot of my friends keep talking shit about Obama bringing us in debt by continuous spending. At this point, i'm neither for or against the dude. I've yet to be won over, but I don't see anything worth hating on.

I saw a chart (though inaccurate because his presidency term has not ended yet) that showed Obama in comparison to the last 4 pres. It looks like Regan and the bush's really fucked us hard. Throughout history, we have been steadily working on lowering our debt until those 3 fuckers came along. even Nixon was able to lower the national debt by 3%.

I'm curious as to why no one on the left side is pointign this out, or why millions of people are still incredible misinformed about who put us in this position?

because its about what you say and how loud you say it. the GOP claims to be the spend less save money party, but they are not. But they say they are, and thats good enough for most people. The Dems dont claim to save money or lower debt so people assume they never do, even though with a Democrat in office(clinton) the debt went down(then up during bush's 8 years). Its about what you say, since 99% of americans r too lazy to actually make sure u did it.

Because each side spins every issue to make them look good and their opponents bad until the facts are so twisted that it's all ignored.

To counter that argument about clinton... it was during the internet boom where millions of jobs were being created because of it. there were more selfmade millionaires in that period of time than ever before. A plant could have been prez and the economy would still be booming.

That was the majority of it but also that the Congress was of the opposite party so nothing got done unless it was really worth it.
