srsly though, asking rollerbladers if they are good is a hard question, I don't know many bladers that can drop that kinda cash on a blade and then admit that they suck.
So any buddy making 70k plus a year care to review for us?

Haha...exactly. Even if they suck or feel the same as any other Valo no1 that pays that much is going to admit it.

Lol. Ya, if some1 pays that much they are probably going to say they like them and find 20 reasons to justify what is wrong with them.

"they were so stiff they caused my right pinky toe to die and fall off, but they are so light and so comfy otherwise, so worth it."

hmm I kind of feel the opposite. If I paid that much, then those fuckers better be tip top. I would probably be more of a bitch about every little thing.

they have carbon fiber window technology, and they come with a free feather! that's about all i can say, other than they are extremely light. i skate remz though so i won't be trying these out.

I have them. They fit better than any toe cut Valo that I've had. Also, the soul plates are close to twice as thick, which is kinda weird. They feel weird to do groove tricks in, because you don't feel the surface that you're grinding on as well as you did with the plastic M12 shell or the thinner soul plates. The skin is solid, no horrible rips or tears on it in the week that I've had them. The liner is actually amazing. I've always had the same problem that everyone else has had; the liner ripping at the back of the heel. The stitching and all around materials used seems like they're a lot better and the whole liner is softer than any other previous Valo liner that I have used. There's a lot more neoprene in the toe as well.
As far as taking apart the skates go, I hate putting the soul plates back on. The way they lock into each other doesn't work half the time. The only way I could get them to stay locked, was to put the frame on the soul pates first, align them properly, screw in the frame bolts, then mount the whole bottom have of the skate. Otherwise, there was a noticeably bigger gap in the front and back piece. Also, the T-nut problem is solved! The receivers now have teethed edges and do not spin around in the shell at all. The hardware still sucks though, I've already snapped a mounting bolt for the soul plate, but I feel that was my fault. I turned it a bit too much.
The inner lacing system on the shell is probably my personal favorite part about the skate. Without it,. I would honestly hate the way they skate. It's basically like the draw strings in a Jug liner. It makes the skate more responsive to your foot, obviously. You can tighten them as much as you please.
This is a picture of one of my old shells, and how I had to toe cut it:

I wear a 10.5-11 shoe and also wore an 8/9 shell toe cut, like pictured above, in old Valo's. I now have a size 9 in the Lights and they fit me perfectly. No toe pain whatsoever.
As performance goes, I love them. I've skated Xsjado's, K2, Remz, Razors. The first time I put on Valo's I loved them. It was the same story with my Lights.
Hope this might help some people out. If you have anymore questions, just let me know.
Only blade 2 hours with so can't make a real review right now. I ve to wait for some other liners too.

I always wore a 9. But the shell size was an 8/9 shell. Sorry, I didn't make that very clear haha. But you should be able to fit a 7, no problem. The new shell adds a lot more space.

What I've heard is they feel and skate almost exactly like the old Valos, just lighter and more responsive.

I like mine.
My Liner ripped within the first days, but got a new one now.
It has more padding and is very comfortable.
A Thing that sucks is, when you tighten the Screws of the Soulplates a bit more, they could come straight to your liner and foot..
I could downsize from a 8 to a 7, there is a lot more room now, and the neoprene helps also!
I asked this in another thread, but didn't get an answer, I ware a size 10 in my Valos now (TV1) would I be fine with a 9 or should I stay with a 10. I skated a pair of USD's that were a size 10.5 and it was way too big.

Even with that drastic of a toe cut, my toes still hurt at times and were extremely cramped. But yes, my size 9 Lights give me no pains or worries, and they aren't even fully broken in yet!

I like mine. The liners could be better, and I'm still not sure if it would be better if the lace holes on the shells went further up to the ankle, but they do grind awesome and look great. Also, I like the memory buckle and the height of the cuff. It seems I won't be going back to my salomons.

I'm sure drilling in another pair or two of lace holes wouldn't hurt or jeopardize the structural integrity of the shell.
I agree with you the lacing on the shell is strange and too low I think.
I m a size 9 and I ve downsize to the 6/7shell with an 8 liner and it's perfect!
I've had mine for almost a month now.. I like them very much!

Carbon Fibre doesn't work like that. It would.
Can they be heat molded like the Carbon II's?

They're riveted.
i've been taking cuffs off that were riveted on since my roces khutis.
just put a regular cuff bolt with allen hole to replace the one you drilled off.
you would just leave the skin on and take the cuff off. leave the soul plate on. do the oven trick, put them back on your feet with them sitting on top of the soul plates. repeat until perfect, then put the cuffs back on.

True. I never thought of that before. Well damn, I might go put some of my white cuffs on my Lights shell now.

Also, this happened to me - they're still using some weak ass hardware for the soul plate mounting bolts. Another thing that annoyed me is one of the square bolt receivers came out of the shell. It's easy enough to fix (hold in place with a tool while screwing in bolt) so I suppose it's an improvement as on the valo heavys if the receiver came out it was basically cunt's fucked

I tried a pair on at my local shop and they felt good, I hate to say it. The raised heel didn't feel like much of an issue and I got into a 9 real fucking easy, I am usually a 9.5-10, but have to go with a 10-11 shell in most skates. Probably one of the best fits I have ever had, I hate to say it.
2 things got to me though
1. the price
2. i could feel the liner shifting around the inside of the shell, like the bottom of the liner was just a couple mm smaller than the shell. Could remedy that with a really sticky bottom.

50 cents worth of double sided duct tape should take care of that. Had to do that to most of the skates I has purchazed.

ALWAYS loosen your shit. A lot. It also depends on the socks, really. But, mostly Valo's fault. haha
They need to get rid of that stupid stitching area.

I can't believe this, they fucking KNOW this was a problem with their earlier liners as well :?
