Colorado Skaters

I'm considering moving to Colorado Springs by the end of the month, any skaters in the springs area? Looking forward to being able to skate briargate and the endless amount of concrete parks that Colorado has.

Edit: I'm going to be moving to Denver in January to go to school at metro state. Wanting to find a place close to school and downtown. Any ideas on what parts I should be looking for places?

I'm not certain who skates in the springs anymore. I know some kids on the road trip were from there but I hadn't seen them in years prior to that.

well you could always learn to ski as well. From what I recall seeing colorado has a pretty good scene, but I'd guess it's mostly happening in denver.

Yeah i'm pretty sure that Im going to have a car, need a place that accepts dogs too. Been looking at places in capitol hill, highlands, and lodo but the ones in lodo and highlands have been pretty pricey.

Stay away from Lodo. Highlands is tight if you can get some roomies. Capitol Hill is the most doable spot if you plan on living solo mission. Since there are so many schools within the downtown area, capitol hill has some "student ghetto" characteristics.
Honestly, Craigslist isn't that helpful in this situation. You should make a trip out this month or next to search for places by foot or bike.

When I moved to CO in 2007 (see join date), I got in at 4pm on a Monday and was signing the lease for a place on Tuesday at 12.

I'll throw up something on Facebook about it.

Found some places in baker that looked legit. I've got a box that I'm wanting to bring out, ten feet long with coping on one side and a 2 or 3 inch pvc pipe in the middle. If I cant keep it at my place is there anyone in renfer that would wanna keep it?

I'm familiar with the area. It's a cool, kinda hipster neighborhood not far from downtown. Some bladers live there.
You're like 10 blocks in from anything good, but Broadway has bars and food and stuff and Alameda has good Mexican food. Also Lancer Lounge is close, a lot of people drink there Monday because they have free really strong drinks.

Still have a scar on my eyebrow. Under my nose was the worst at the time though.

I'm not alone either, I know bike crashes after Lancer have happened to many of Denver's finest.
