not suprised. no one has heard of rockford other than bad things, were pretty infamous and this is the only recognition we get (rightfully so though, nothings going on here). terrible economy and high crime rate here, but i dont think it's that bad. i feel like ive been to way scarier places, but anyways.
where does your city rank?

I use to live in janesville and every kid that that claim to be a gang member was from rockford or beloit. this is kinda surprising tho ive never considered rockford to be that bad

haha i never understood the beloit gangster thing...maybe it is hood but theres like 30,000 people there. youd think janesville would be a lot harder than beloit. yeah though, we get on these lists all the time. someone said we were number 9 a while back too.
maybe im numb to hearing about the crime though, i live downtown which isn't hood at all but last week this guy stopped another guy in a car a couple blocks from my house, ran out and went to town on him with a shotgun. it was right in front of this kid i knows house too, and he saw the whole thing and had to give his statement...shit like that happens a lot the more i think about it. a 16 year old kid tried to rob a pizza place the other night (with a gun) and an off duty cop shot and killed him. this wasn't far from my house either.

I once went through detroit at like 1am in an expensive car... it was pretty scary, the police escorted us through and all was well
I'd never seen so many people outside just kind of sitting on curbs doing nothing

Brussels is one of the most dangerous cities in europe.. especially for tourists.
Brussels Belgium – although it may seem Beautifil to visit, 50 people per 1000 were victims of some sort of crime.
Seriously though its fine tbh.. Aslong as you don't go out too late its chill

From my hotel room in Prague, overlooking the central train station at night, I saw gypsies robbing or trying to rob everyone that ventured into the area.
I fucking hate gypsies.

yeah i think it all has to do with how you carry yourself and who you get involved with. they dont sell alcohol in my neighborhood to keep bums out so the closest place i go is in a shitty neighborhood. there's always sketchy people but i just mind my own business and they don't even talk to me.
and detroit was number 1 on this list, and i got lost there once at 2 am and managed to end up in a really sketchy neighborhood. we stopped to get gas and i was pretty scared to say the least. if
