you should never approach the police with hostile body language, especially while yelling.. after you have been asked to stand back

Sticks and stones may hurt my bones, but I only get hit with em because of the words I say.

Idiots. I get it, protest your heart out for a group of unorganized people who have no agenda, just trying to get more people involved. No demands to stop their protests, and ultimately, probably no change will come of it. BUT when police tell you to stand down, do it, or thats what happens. They have the right to do that. There is not a permit to protest in the middle of hte street, and peaceful assembly requires more of a march legally without getting in peoples faces and shouting and stuff. A peaceful assembly means that when the people of the law ask you to do something and you dont do it, your disrupting the peace.

Oh come on, dudes. Sure that guy was irritating and kind of embarrassing... and carrying around an upside-down flag is pretty lame, but you shouldn't be supporting the police in any capacity. They took him down for yelling. At a protest. Unnecessary.

I am all for the protest but its technically illegal. If there was a million people flooding the city, then they could take over traffic etc... but honestly, when its a few thousand, there is not that capability. I think its got less to do with yelling and more to do with the fact that they are trying to control the situation and keep the ppeople in a contained area, and instead they are like pressing forward towards the police. I dont support the police in many situations, usually I find they are those kids in high school that just werent strong enough for military, and were just unpopular enough to be in a smaller group of friends and the cool kids made fun of you. So your retaliation is becoming a cop and making everyone pay for their mistakes. But in this circumstance, the guy is clearly just trying to get at it. Alot of these people are, there have been some macings that I give the police no credit for, but other ones, its like they are trying to get maced or pinned.

I believe the protesters were told to stay on the sidewalk so as not to obstruct traffic

I've probably watched that black guy get punched in the face 20 times now

I'm usually not one to stand up for the police, but both those guys were asking for it.
