I have some skates(salomons) that are tight but very close to fitting. Im thinking if I heat
mold them it might be enough for them to have a good fit. I searched but couldnt find the
answers to my questions in any old threads.

I would prefer to heat them in the oven because I dont have a heat gun, and my blow
dryer shuts off automatically after a short time so I dont think it would even make it hot enough.

Does anyone have any specifics for doing this? Like temperature and time to leave them in?
Also, because the salomons have the heelpad in the skate what do I do to get the right shape
without melting the heelpad?

any tips would be greatly appreciated
thanks:-D

first of all, why don't you remove the shock absorbers?

I assume my foot would be in a different position with the shock absorber removed when trying to shape them.

I would remove it before putting the skates in the oven, but once I pull the skates out of the oven, i would
think they would still be too hot, and melt the shock absorber(the shock absorber feels pretty soft)?

I did this with my K2 King 55s, works perfect.

i heatmolded my salomons with a hot air gun on high, then i put my liner and foot in the skate laced up snug, then repeated this. i only did it around the toe area cause i didnt want to mess with the integrity of the boot, mine are a soft plastic so i was just being cautious. i would steer clear of oven heatmolding at first, try a heatgun and see how the boot reacts.

No oven. Heat gun your pressure points.
