So I can't take it any longer. My fucking mouth hurts far too bad, I have been delaying the fact that I need root canal surgery for well over a year now. I HATE the fucking dentist, and that's a god damn understatement. I believe I will actually have to have 3 different root canals and my wisdom teeth pulled.

I am not happy about this what so ever. I swear to god I am having them gas me to knock me out. Fuck letting those bastards stick needles in my mouth.

Anyone have any high powered pain killers they would be willing send me?

I haven't been to the dentist in like 3 years because of my lack of health/dental insurance.

Fortunately I haven't had any problems, which I find odd since I am a fucking horrible teeth brusher. I swear I brush my teeth like once every 2 days, while I feel like I can't go more than 20 hours without a shower.

I have really nice teeth too and never had braces or anything. I definitely need to step up my brush game so I don't fuck my shit all up.

I am not a pussy when it comes to needles. But when it comes to needles in my mouth, nope, do not want. Call me a pussy all you want, but I am absolutely terrified of the fucking dentist.

Look up the closest university dental school. You can let students work on your mouth for much less money than a regular dentist charges. They also take insurance for even lower bills.

I had two root canals done with local anesthesia only. It wasn't bad at all. I didn't even get a prescription for painkillers afterward and I was fine. Quit being a pansy.

What really hurt me was the bill, though.

Sick, a dentist thread, now I can vent what's been bothering me the last week.

I just had to go the other day, I was supposed to start my dental implant procedure but it turns out I didn't have enough bone to hold it, so in order to do the implant I'd have to have bone grafting from my chin.

So basically they knocked me out (conscious sedation is awesome) to give me shots, cut my gums open, then stitch me back up. Still have to wear this stupid retainer which I can't eat or speak properly with while I wait to find out what I'm supposed to do.

I'm considering just saying fuck it and just getting a bridge instead. The implants aren't guaranteed to work and at this point it would be another year before they actually were ready to be put in as opposed to a bridge which I could have in a month.

I think I may too young for a bridge though, does anyone have one, or implants? What were your experiences and what are the pros/cons?

I had three wisdom just with a local to numb it up.
Dentist had his knee on my chest to get leverage with these...

getting it done in the chair meant less recovery time and because a family knew him I got it on the cheap .

Just one thing, you may get dry root from the exposed hole where the tooth was, id rather be killed than expirience the pain of that again.

I got a cavity refilled when I was 7 with no novocaine. Stupid German bitch didn't give me any then my dentist thought I had gotten novocaine so when I cried out in pain I was told to stop being a baby.

i honestly think that brushing and flossing after every meal couldnt be the best thing. doesnt it make your mouth more likely to get germs in them? like when you wash your hair a whole lot you are more likely to get lice than when your hair is dirty. or is that not even true...

i brush my teeth once a day maybe twice a day and i havent had a cavity since i was brushing and flossing regularly 8 + years ago.
