I tried on my friends valos the other day and the length was perfect, but the width was tight in the arch. the other shell didn't have a liner in it and as i was inspecting it, i came across an idea for flat footed/small arched skaters. similar to toe cutting, but arch cutting the boot. seems possible, but i don't have a pair of valo's to experiment with this on my own. i envisioned cutting the arch out enough to fit comfortably and not cutting too high to limit loss of rigidity of the boot. sounds like a justinthursday kinda project. thoughts?

i think valo should re design their boots. not having the raised heel would make them really good skates.

ive done exactly what you're talking about. I have an extremely flat foot and so I cut a big chunk from that area. I also heel and toe cut them and the perform incredibly although not as well as xsjados!

^didn't have a problem with the toes and heels, just the arch. good to know. maybe i'll pick up some used valo's one day and try this out.

I, too, have flat feet and have to dremel the shit out of my Valo boots where my should-be arches are, effectively widening them, to fit me properly.
