View Full Version : Remz tearing up my feet

So I recently switched from Razors to Remz, I've been skating for them like two weeks. They were killing my feet at first. I thought my feet finally got use to them, but where a blister usually forms on the outside of the arch of my foot, there is a really deep sore. It really isn't getting better. I heard that a lot of people can't skate Remz because of them tearing up their feet. Is this usually the problem that everyone has with them? I really like them, and I can tell the difference in my skating, but this sore sucks.
So I'm just asking for suggestions. Should I just find a different skate? or what? Is there a huge difference between Remz and Valos?

There's a pretty big difference. Remz are lower cut on the ankle wheras Valos are fairly higher up and have a stiffer cuff. Valos have a narrow foot, and the Remz has a "stubbier" toebox, so even though your foot may fit your toes will hurt. Valo liners have less padding (especially with stock liners) around the ankle. I'm sure theres more that I'm forgetting.
You need to stick them out. Give them at least a month.
Remz feel better after a really really long break in time.
When I had my OSes, I hated them. And right when I was about to buy new skates, I had the most marvelous two sessions in them.
If you have the full skinned ones then, I dunno. Never tried them.

i would say stick it out too. also how you lace/wear your skates has such a big impact on the feel and your feet. I would skate mine loose and my feet would hurt after a while but i was happy with the way i skated. After a while i was messing around and laced them up tight and wow. those shits were one with my feet. it definally made skating them so much better and painless. Ive experienced the inner arch, tounge bite, and the outside foot pain. but if you make sure the liner is on your foot right and thug it out you will be rewarded. gl with your choice.
