Paws are pretty much the same thing as Suedes. You sure it was Rollerblade brand? Every other skate RB released pre-UFS after Dirks, look just like Dirks but in a different color.

must be paws then.

Parks and Shane Bonifay skated them. I guess they were cross training for wakeboarding whirly birds.
Randy Spizer's? They were the best RB skates ever.

Either the Patrone:

Or the Deluxe, which I can't find a picture of yet.
They were pretty much the same as the Canvas but silverish gray and with a metal hblock.

If you have been rolling through all of those eras of Blading, or if you were around before, those. Kudos. I never tried a pair of the RB soft boot. Those were Carbons in the mid- late 90's. I SWEAR!
I never liked the way those looked back in the day, and most certainly don't now. But I did always want to try them.
They probably were much more solid than my superflats of that era.

The Suedes were my third pair of skates, I remember being so juiced to finally replace my beat ass Boxcars and have newer skates than all of my Dirk riding buddies. Then I got them and realized they were horrible. :(

HAHA! Damn... We both were on Boxcars. Sick. It's odd that scribe is back, and their parts used to come on blades right outta the box. Man things change quick.
But on topic... I'm POSITIVE they were better than boxcars. I didn't do one royale on boxcars.

i got 5th elements then. I was deciding between razors flats or 5th elements. however, there was no razors distributor here at the time, so i decided to go with 5th elements because of spare parts. god, i loved being 17.
When we had coffee in Zagreb, it seemed like you liked being 29 too :-)

Luckily I didn't have to replace parts on the flats. The boxcars made me just toss skates when the frames got badly messed up. Now I'm not so silly. The distributor problem was something I didn't pay attention to in the late 90's... I just ordered what was around. I've only purchased one pair of skates from a shop and that was my first pair. Ever since then I've never been able to physically try my skates on first.

the paw's were horrible. haha. had a friend that hacked up a chopping board and it that on the souls and it wasnt too bad after that. but still horrible.

Were the souls on the Paws uneven? or slow?
slow. like a rubbery feel.
only good things of the suede and paw (delux and canvas in europe ) was the 62mm senate wheels on the deluxe.

Swindlers LOL, I got some 5th element/Khutis over those. I think I made the right choice.

I loved my pair of Canvas. Until they fell apart, that is. I managed to break both frames in two points, break the right boot in half at the second wheel spot. It was hanging by the glued liner.
But you could stick royales and backslides forever.

why did they call them dirks? i have a skateboarder friend named dirk and i was telling him about those and we had a good laugh about it. anyways, i remember thinking those softboot rollerblades looked so cool, now they look pretty ridiculous.

Don't talk shit about the Paws.... long after I had destroyed the skate beyond repair, I kept those liners. Actually had them in my Cream and Cream 2s. When the Shimas came out, the liner was about the same, so they finally got tossed.

I still have those in my closet. Thinking back on the day I got them, feels like yesterday.

I destroyed my Daytonas to the point of replacing both shells twice and the day my friend let me trade frames with his brand new Gs was epic. He wanted his skates to look worn and I needed new shit. Got some Scribe UHMW hblocks for them and they ripped so hard.
