View Full Version : STRETCH tour continues....attn: El Paso bladers!

So after three 10-hour days of working under the hood of this limo, we've managed to replace the transmission and are on our way from Dallas to Phoenix, AZ.

We're going to attempt to do this all in one stint, but figure it's a good idea to have a back up plan. Does anyone in the El Paso or the surrounding area have a place to put up four rollebladers for a night? If so, or if you have phone numbers of 'u am neo' or anyone else in El Paso, please give me a call at 585-739-0376.

you guys replaced that transmission???!!! That is badass. Did yall just have a random transmission in the trunk or something? keep it going!

Even with all the extra time you guys spent in Dallas, I couldn't make it out to any of the sessions. I got so pissed yesterday when Grant messaged me telling me that you were going to thursday night skate at GPX because I was on call and had no way to get out of it. If it had been a regular day, I could have sacrificed sleep or study time to try to make it. :x

Got the transmission all in and ready to go and come to find out somehow the started went bad along the course of these past 3 days. I was under the car till about 10pm.


The transmission doesnt seem to be anything special, just a 1980s ford AOD.

That sounds like alot of work. Hopefully you wont have any more major repairs .

as fun as it sounds. going on a month long journey in an old rundown vehicle that most shops can't even work on just doesn't seem like the brightest thing to do. not saying i wouldn't do it, but if financially pheasable, i would of just crammed 90's camry or something along those lines. Maybe its just cause i worked on shitty cars all day for 3 years and the LAST thing i'd want to do on vacation is have fucking car trouble :?

when i walked out front and there was an actual limo out there i was kinda shocked.

for some reason i thought there was sarcasm in saying they were driving a limo.

the four of them just left el paso maybe an hour to two hours ago.

really chill group of guys. glad somebody is willing to stop in el paso and say whats up. they got in late last night. we all talked for a bit. they crashed and i had to open the bakery at 5am so i left and they all came and chilled at the bakery this morning.....everyone loves the bakery :D hooked up some breakfast and road donuts and then took pics and they were off again to adventure in Arizona.

glad to meet you guys and hope everything goes well.
