Here's a more logical explanation:

A college kid lives in the dorms during the school year, and it's included in his tuition. At the end of spring term, they move back in with their parents (sans rent) and work all summer to get money to pay tuition. At the end of the summer, they quit the job, and go back to school, which their summer work helps pay for.

also there's a thing called an internship, these are basically seasonal positions, but they exist because it allows college folk to work in the real world so they get experience before they graduate.. imagine that

TCC clearly wasn't for me. I was in the top ten of my classes but was withdrawn via absences and I'm glad I was.

I'll be studying Sound Engineering and Recording in the Audio Arts and Acoustics dept. at Columbia in the fall, a place in which I actually will show up because it's something I truly give a shit about.

well I've had up to 5 classes in one day before, not to mention certain days with 3 classes, the 3rd is a 3 hour lab, and after lab i'd eat lunch then work for 4-5 hrs

but I can assure you.. I worked for my scholarships, and I'll be paying back my loans here real soon, and I use money from work to pay mostly for food (rent was paid by semester)

I'm literally a few weeks away from finishing my final semester and graduating, but at the peak, I worked 2 jobs and went to uni full time. It got to the point where if I wasn't working, I was at uni and I only went home to sleep and occasionally eat.

Still had time for a social life though, just rocked up to work drunk/hungover a few times.
