I Made one of all the possible tricks I can do. Switch ups, fullcab, true tops, alley oop tops, etc. Anyways, I then made a list off all the tricks I can't do. I've been doing this the last 2 weeks, and its been improving my skating. I can finally do regular ao top acids as opposed to switch TTAcid, True porn both ways,Inspin fishbrain both ways, fullcab true souls, both ways, etc. I've just noticed though, how much it helped me out lately its buggin me out. Anybody else do this too?

I used to but I get so caught up in skating now that I dont even remember I made a trick list, half the time I forget I brought a camera and should be filming.

thats funny cause i used to do that all the time and everyone thought it was weird.
i would make a list of all the stuff i can do was usually a kind of confidence booster since seeing it all on paper made me realize that i have more tricks than i normally think of while out skating.
then i would make a list of tricks i cant do and pull a few from that list t try when i would go skate.
sometimes i would even make a list of all the known spots so everyone wouldnt have to argue about where to go...we would just look up stuff on the list and weigh the options of where to go and when we were able to go there like schools on weekends and business that might be closed or for middle of the day middle of the week spots where there is no kick out problems.

I used to make a mental note of the tricks I wanted to try to learn next time I skated, but now I am more concerned to keep the tricks I already have rather than with learning new ones.
i think alot of tricks after the session and next day i try at least few, i hate it when i eat shit learning new stuff, but when i lace it im sooo happy.
lots of times i forget what ive been thinking at home

I don't try to learn every trick. There are just specific tricks that I like to be about and specific obstacles that I like to do them on. I always keep an ongoing list in my head but not on paper.
After wanting to be able to do this trick for 10 years, I finally learned fakie 540's over hips and boxes. I also recently got back hardspin sweatstances on ledges. I have been trying to learn nice, aired, and grabbed 540's on quarterpipes and I can do them, but half the time I eat shit.
Tricks I want to learn:
720's (quarterpipes, hips, and boxes)
Top Mistrials (on serious shit)
Torquesouls (on serious shit, topside and 360 also)
Tru Top Soyales (on serious shit)
Recently, I now get to skate the ledge that I grew up skating and have owned the shit out of many times, my good friend Tampa Road ledge. I have always wanted to hit BS Backslide (grabbed, of course) to hardspin topsoul to fakie. I will land this trick! Realistically I will land that before I land those grinds that I was previously mentioned because for some reason my feet just won't do them shits, but Dominic Sagona makes them look so cool, haha.

i make lists of all the tricks i can do or all the tricks i want to try. because most of the time ill go to a spot and do 4 tricks the whole time. backside, bs royale or farv, and topsoul and i am completely happy and forget to do anything else.
i used to do the list but that shit is silly
so my general goal is one new trick each session

i make trick lists in my head. i always tell my self when i go to the park or something that if i dont land the trick i want and get it on lock than i cant leave.
it works for me.

1. Put left skate on left foot
2. Repeat for right.
The rest is all gravy.
Naw, I gave up on that shit.
I've realized I just learn tricks at random and usually they are entirely opposite of what I originally wanted. So its better for me to just go out with the mind set "lets do something ballin today" and I'll learn something.
I got into skating in the first place cause I'm an unorganized bastard. Rather just keep it that way.

I think playing skate is the only thing that motivates me to try hard/new tricks any more. Other than that I just have fun with the tricks I can still do confidently.
