Didn't pay any extra with the customs, but I had to fight my way to get the package through though. I had to write several official papers that could actually send me to court if they can prove I (kind of) lied to them. Hopefully we don't get into any more hassle, this deal was a long time in the making !!!

What I'm thinking about though, is that I have a pair of beaten up frames myself, quite similar to yours, and that those Fiziks antirocker kits could be quite perfect to save those from further destruction. I'm pretty sure it could work well for you too, so we'll have to talk about that again a little later if you're interested !

Shitty weather and plenty of Fiziks frames to have fun with led me to start working on my first project.

Those frames were the second pair I ever bought. I saw a kid rolling around with those back in 2007 at the Dutch open, and traded his beat up frames for brand new GC frames, still in the box. Now, the frames were actually fucked up. I don't think he ever used wheels in the middle and that led to wearing the frames in a very unusual manner.

Now, here's my attempt at fixing those up and bringing them back to life and the glory they once had :

I had to take off all the middle rocker arms and put some Fiziks UHMW blocks instead. I also put some metal arms on both ends of the frames, so the frames can be switched both ways and one can enjoy a more rigid suspension feel, and limit the risk of having the plastic arms break.

They come complete with brand new Higgs Boson Mindgame antirockers, and brand new Enanoh You Are Here wheels and Crap bearings (minus one session), for a smooth ride and perfect grinding experience. they'll be up for grabs soon, too.

Now, it required some real patience and work to achieve this. I mean, the first 10 minutes are fun, but the next hour or so, not so much... I hope you like the result. You can also click the pictures to check out the details on a larger version. I hope this will inspire you Sadi !

Guise, guise... I'm so hyped about what happened to me today, I have to share... :D

So I met up with the homes to skate some flatrail and right after we strapped teh bootz on it started to rain... So we went to this little shelter where a ledge was. The thing was lame so I took off on mah bladez to look around the neighbourhood for spots in the rain.

Little over ten minutes later I come back to find out the homies left the shelter. Probably to look for spotz on their own. It had stopped raining for a good 5 minutes. So I take a seat at this ledge and ask myself when they would come back and... And then I notice this tiny bird that sits on a lamppost a good 4 meters apart from me on the other end of the ledge. On a lamppost. On a grey lamppost.

So I stare at this thing for merely ten seconds. Ten seconds in wich we both don't move. Even our eyes don't blink. After this ten seconds I look at the ground and then crawl a meter towards it, then sit down on the ledge again. On mah bladez. I then turn my head and look at the lamp post. Guess what!? It is still there! :D

So I proceed to stare at him. No moving, no blinking occurs. I look at the ground again and creep another meter towards him, then sit down.

I look up and... IT'S STILL FUCKIN' THERE! :D

Staring... No moving or blinking. I then do something that one probably should not do in a situation like this: I raise my hand and point at him. It's half pointing and half an invitation to jump onto mah hand. So this thing sits there and isn't moving.

I'M FUCKING SITTING TWO METERS FROM IT POINTING AT IT AND IT DOESN'T MOVE! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!?

We sit in front of each other and stare. We don't move, we don't blink. Then I realise it does not breathe...? So I'm starting to think it's probably dead... But why is it still standing and looking at me when it's dead? I don't want to stand up and approach it to see what's up and then destroy our little téte à téte with this blindfolded action...

Instead I stop breathing myself. And then look back at the ground and start to creep towards it even more.

After looking at the lamppost (or whatever this is...) I see it is still sitting there! It is still not moving or blinking, heck it doesn't even breathe!

WTF!? :D

At this point, I sit one meter apard from this wild, dangerous creature which is probably infected with the hundreds of the worst diseases the domestic fauna has to offer...

Okay...

I'm one meter apart from it. That's 100 cm. I tell ya'll, this is closer than it probably sounds!

Sooo... I'm sitting there and stare at it. So does the little featherthingy. We're fifteen seconds in and I'm starting to think about what to do with this situation... Then I realise I have mah phone with me! And this thing sports a nice camera! :D

Btw: I was constantly sending MMSs with pics of spots I found during my little journey of discovery I just got back from to the homes hoping they would receive them in time and ask me for a location of one of these spots so we could proceed to shred together. But these dumbasses didn't even have their phones with them at this time... :? Different story though... :neutral:

So I pull my phone out of my pocket, wake it up, fire up the camera-app and slowly raise my hand and point the damn cell at the bird! The phone is floating a good 40 cm in front of the bird's tiny pecker.

Guess what!?

IT DOES NOT DO ANYTHING, GADDAMNIT!

So I snap a pic.

A loud clicking-noise of the fake shutter is coming out of the speakers. I shit my pantz, bird-guy does exactly nothing!

SO I FUCKIN' SNAP ANOTHER PIC!

Same distracting noise occurs (felt like it was twice as loud this time...).

AGAIN: THE DAMN BIRD ISN'T MOOOVING! OMG!

So I nervously check my phone if the pics turned out alright. I'm pleased to find out both of them are beautifully lit and also extraordinarily well framed.

I'm proud of my achievement and proceed to check out the bird that is sitting right next to me on the screen of my phone.

Then I hear loud clacking noises on the other site of the street... The dumbasses are finally back... :?

I then look to my right again and the bird is gone... :(

Back from Paris my friends, I had a good time and just spent lots of time walking and biking around, visiting museums and eating ice cream, which I hadn't had a chance to do in many years !

Just created two awesome setups today, then went skating the mini ramp for a while in the hot, sunny afternoon.

We had a big game of s.k.a.t.e. too, and I made it to the finals, only to lose to my friend Vince in a head to head battle. He's always been awesome at skating transition, so no big deal, I learned a whole bunch of tricks today !

And those Street Artist wheels are quite great too, first session with those but they look pretty tight I must say !
