Physics first, then chemistry.

I studied material sciences (has a bunch of chemistry classes as well of course) and physics.

Physics will give you pretty much the base of everything you would wanna do afterwards, be it due to learning a shitload of mathmatics (actually if you study theoretical physics, it only takes about 2 extra courses a year to also get your maths degree), modelling or physics laws; of which a whole lot involve things chemists use to do their works and experiments nowadays.
Just think of all the physics involved in modeling particles and their interactions, that stuff is also super useful in chemistry.

Writing all this makes me wonder though, what kind of chemistry do you want to pursue, could be organic chemistry or something, but even then it would make sense to go for physics first.

And then just think of it, about 20 nobel price winners for chemistry actually did physics research on molecules and stuff.

Physics first, then chemistry.

I studied material sciences (has a bunch of chemistry classes as well of course) and physics.

Physics will give you pretty much the base of everything you would wanna do afterwards, be it due to learning a shitload of mathmatics (actually if you study theoretical physics, it only takes about 2 extra courses a year to also get your maths degree), modelling or physics laws; of which a whole lot involve things chemists use to do their works and experiments nowadays.
Just think of all the physics involved in modeling particles and their interactions, that stuff is also super useful in chemistry.

Writing all this makes me wonder though, what kind of chemistry do you want to pursue, could be organic chemistry or something, but even then it would make sense to go for physics first.

And then just think of it, about 20 nobel price winners for chemistry actually did physics research on molecules and stuff.

I researched with a professor of chemical engineering, and his main interest was in NMR, which is heavy in physics. He was also into computer programming. Such a smart guy.

After working with him for a few months he went on a two week vacation, and I ran his NMR experiments for him and just e-mailed him the data. I felt so badass, but I had no idea what I was actually doing :lol:

I hear a lot of people talk about how they have read that book but I no longer believe that they have. I highly doubt they would put so much credibility in a book that has a chapter on telepathy. Also one of the main points I got from the book while rereading is that if you put the amount of energy into something productive that you do into getting laid, you can conquer the world (sexual transmutation).
