lol ya rite. ~6 more months on the island, then two years working in hospitals doing clinical rotations, then I'll be a Resident medical doctor in training for a specialty, which could take 3-? years until I'm the real deal. Gonzalo is in the Residency phase right now, so he's almost done. A Pathology residency is 3-4 years, and I'll probably do Family Medicine or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation which are both 3-4 years too.

They are the perfect frames. I can skate curbs with those like I do with antirocker setups but they allow for a much smoother ride. The only reason I set these up is me realizing I won't skate street for a couple more sessions (currently rainy season over here in Germany) and I noticed I don't need to sacrifice on rolling capabilities when all I skate is a bowl with metal coping. So these will hopefully make me faster and I already know grinding will work like a charm... 8)

I love that lens, I shot a wedding all by myself on Monday with pretty much just that on a 5D, a few shots with the 70-200mm 2.8 on a 40D, and a 35mm 1.4 back on the 5D for the ring shots. I had to give everything back to my boss last night...it was tough after having so much fun equipment for the last 3 weeks :(

I attended a wedding yesterday too, was also fun especially since all the rollerblader friends were there :cool: was filming it with a borrowed 5d mk2, but also shot a few pics. Can't get over how good this camera is.

i bought some new wheels for my longboard on the swiss version of ebay last night and wrote a message to the seller asking if i could come and pick them up today.
so far so normal.
the dude replied telling me that he doesn't have the wheels at home but in a warehouse outside of lucerne.
he said it would be ok to come and pick them up, i should just take a train to the central station and we'd drive from there in his oldtimer.
so i took a train up to lucerne and got picked up by the guy who's about 40 years old and was driving something like this:

seats softer than my sofa and no seatbelts, fuck yeah!

we drove for about 15 minutes before we got to his warehouse.
during that drive he told me how he lost +50kg in the last year and how/why he got divorced from his wife who was cheating on him and systematically lying to him for the last 10 years.
at the warehouse i got a little tour where he showed me 6 other oldtimers of his and a shitload of other stuff he was selling.
he works as a liquidator (?) and sells stuff for companies who went broke.
this time it was a skate shop, tehe.
so i got my wheels and also found some nice sunglasses.
while i was walking around, looking at all the stuff, he rolled up a hash joint.
we smoked that and he proceeded to tell me more about his life for over an hour.
at one point he was swinging a big ass billhook that was lying around in the warehouse while i was thinking: "this guy could just chop me up here and now and no one would ever find out!"

that dude experienced some crazy shit, shit that not even a soap opera producer could come up with.
after all that we drove to the next atm, i payed 80 francs for stuff that would normaly cost over 200...

he then decided it would be a good idea to drive to zug instead of back to lucerne cause it's a nice drive.
so there we were, driving along the lake of lucerne, in a car from 1968 on a beautiful summer day.
he dropped me of at the station in zug from where i took a train back home (a quick stop at the burger king in lucerne to buy an extra long chili cheese burger included).
