Any plans this weekend? Tomorrow my yoga studio is having an Open House and I'm one of the few students who will be demo'ing there. The other student is a extremely talented girl who does competitions. (I'm going to be training soon to compete in December) and then Sunday, I'll be training with a Bikram World Champion for 6 hours straight. I wish I was better so I can take in more of what he says. I'm excited.

I did the open house thing for my yoga studio. There were a lot of other students demonstrating there as well. I bought a really funny book from one of Bikram's teachers "pet". It looks good like a fun read.

Yesterday I spent close to 8 hours training with a yoga world champion. He was teaching the purpose, and what muscles are used and effected for most of the postures. We did a 2 hour hot yoga class in the morning, then practiced the techniques for 4 hours, then ended the day with another 2 hour class. Holding the half moon pose for 1:30 is torture. I never been more sore in my life.

I'm going to train with him in Boulder sometime this year though. The room was full of teachers and people who compete. I felt like such a noob. I almost collapsed during the first breathing technique on the second class. He has a 10 day (10 hours a day) yoga boot camp focusing on spine strengthening. Two classes a day in a heated room, then doing home work, studying, and training. It is meant to prepare people for competition. I've been thinking that maybe this could be my ticket to traveling the world. Doing yoga professionally. Like train and compete for 5-6 years, and if I have a shot at becoming the national champion, I'll do everything I can to make it happen. After that I'll open a yoga studio. The beauty of this is I can do this anywhere.

i knew this was gonna end up happening in the back of my mind which is why i havent left like 4 months ago for the pnw. this town fuckin blows too. no jobs, people are angry, and in place of a nice "welcome" sign at the front of our town they replaced it with a huge LED billboard selling dog treats. this place is a shit hole with no inspiration whatsoever.

i know the feel. i live in a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with my gf. My mother was an interior designer living in MD (expensive as shit to live there) and really struggling to make ends meet. She just turned 60 so her body isn't really capable of working the 60+ work weeks like she would typically do in her 40's. I volunteered for her to come live with us until she could bounce back on her feet...Holy shit!

first conversation i had with her after helping her move her stuff into our unused 2nd bedroom was that i needed to change my clothes and go shave because i looked like "a piece of "trash." I quickly had to remind her that if she wanted to live under my roof she was going to have to follow my rules which sometimes includes shutting up. My inner child was exstatic. However i have also been caught in several fights between my mother and my gf. shit blows. my mom was luckily able to find 2 part time jobs that total aobut 50 hour work weeks between the 2 and has started getting out of debt. I have started hinting for her to save her money but seems to fall on def ears. everyday i see her going out to eat and it pisses me off. i have to pay more for power and water (i am now currently paying $1100/month by myself for rent and utilities le gf is paying for college classes currently). I am aware now that i can afford this so now i want to move into a house. My mother has been a bit slow on picking up that this is not an invitation for 3... I'm trying my best not to get stuck living in an apartment for another year. shit sucks

I got my apartment cleaned. But video games are pretty depressing to me alone. depression is also a chemical dissbalance in the brain. my mother suffers from real clinically diagnosed depression, and my mom is no weakling. went through a childhood with an abusive father and distant mother, was married twice, with my piece of shit father being the first husband, the second husband was a jackyll and hyde character that started beating her up right after they got married all in front of 5 year old me, they got divorced after only a few months. we were always on the brink of being relatively poor, and she managed to bring me up and see me get through high school and uni. after i moved out 6 years ago, she was fine for a few months, and then all of a sudden wouldn't get out of bed, wouldn't wash for days, wouldn't clean the house or was the dishes, she just slept and cried for days on end. and she also couldn't deal with other people, not even my aunt or me.
then she went on sick leave for four months, started going into therapy, and she's been on anti depressants since then. she's a lot better now, but now my aunt started having the same symptoms. she tried to commit sucide 35 years ago. so yeah, depression is no joke.

so i start walking home get about 1/8th mile away from the store and notice hes like 100 feet behind me. still, whatever.
but then i cross the street and so does he. i get to an area where theres no lights and dude starts RUNNING at me yellin "hey kid!"
so i walk a little faster cause hes still pretty far away and theres an intersection ahead and im still like "wtf"

then dude just stops in the dark back there on the sidewalk and looks at me.
i just kept walking and went home but like, wtf.
