View Full Version : how do you skate your xsjados?
do you have any routine that you do your straps in to get max confort/flex?
i am having a small prob. gettin both feet to feel normal, one always feels tighter than the other... i think it is because one foot is bigger? anyone else experience this?
also farfs? anyone else find them fucking impossible in these skates? it could be because i am 6'1 and skating smaller boot (size9) but i feel like i will never do a 270 backfarf again : (

Completely impossible. I dunno what it is, but I can't farf worth a damn, especially on rails. The Stockwells I had were better for them, but the Farmer 3s are different. I feel like there's too much padding on the cuff area now.
weird, I like mastered farvs on rails with xsjados.
hopefully they still just need to be broken in more, i have only skated them 3 times.
I have farvs and royales fine, backslides too. Torques not so much, but I've never been good at those.
I skate mine as tight as possible, until my feet go numb. Feels good. The instep thing is at circle 4 down from the top, then I buckle them until they strangle the top of my foot. I have a 7.5 footwrap with the shell set to 8/8.5. I am not sure if there's any difference though.
Also they came V-cut (Stockwell 2s, not Damiens) and they feel really cool that way. Kinda makes me feel like I will fall backwards sometimes, but I really notice the extra control and movement.

I'm 6'2", I have the same size boot, same farv problem and same size of foot problem... we are almost the same person
I put them on I kick my heels as far back as they go so my toes wont stick out of the boot, then I do the ratchet up tight as hell, then do up my top straps as tight as they will go and wrap them in electrical tape 3 times because the velcro that came on my Farmer 2's are absolute shit....
large shell basic 2
i skate my mono strap hella loose, but i keep the instep and toe straps super tight, tighter on the outside clip on the instep.
also, get any type of low-profile nike dunk or air sneaker, they magically fit right into the shell.
After a good session think of all the problems you have, what could be done to have a better feel. And once you get back home unscrew everything you can unscrew. You'll notice that theres a lot, a lot of things you can change to make the skates just the way you like it.
i forgot to bring my footwraps with me to the skatepark today, so i skated with these on

(not in those colors.. black and olive green for meh)
the shoe barely sticks in the front, and was more confortable i think, there was just a couple pressure points that hurt at first but as the day progressed i didn't feel them.
usually i
unbuckle everything.
do the big ass buckle
tighten the top as much as possible
then the bottom..
i was able to throw a couple farfs but still not really confident or comfortable on them in these things. other than the farf problem all of my tricks feel alot more clean and secure (if that makes sense). i love these skates so far, fuckin fun.

every box of xsjados i open:
move the cuff so its flush with the soleplate at the heel(size 8 i think)
move the padding to the low setting, cut the middle plastic piece of the cuff i call it a " u" cut haha
this gives the solid feeling of a xsjado but still has the flex of a v cut cuff.
then i put chimera wheels on my mooks.
and the mid strap is set on the third posistion.
yep. there you have it

i seriously have that same problem on mine the left foot feels super nice then i put the right foot on an its like this annoying too tight feeling and after a while of skating i dont feel it but i think it may be it might be the shoe knot or the shoe being too loose im to lazy to figure it out lol
i hated the v cut cuff i leaned back too much.
i hate whenever i skate my skate hits my other skate and makes the inner strap come off.
