torrents messing with my internet connection?

when im downloading torrents my modem keeps going on and off. not sure if both issues are related or not. any one else have this problem?

Depends on your modem and local infrastructure. If the modem tries to exceed the maximum speed your infrastructure allows, it can reset. Happened to me quite a few times.

yea its pretty annoying. i should call my cable company and see if i can get an upgraded modem. that might work?
