I know that this has been asked before, but I forgot the answer. I heard that Kizer Slimlines (I think) are abnormally tall. Is this true?

Those look horrible for flat. The groove does not look large or wide at all.

i skate them flat and it works well for me, the groove really doesn't have to big at all(wide grooves feel nasty anyway) the wheels are just farther from the groove so they really don't interfere with grinding

i tried skating my 50/50 cores flat... did not want.
but then again I don't think the frame would matter in my case. I don't know how i used to do it when i was like 13.

If you've only been a teenager for 2 years, you shouldn't be telling people who were doing this before you were born what makes you suck at rollerblading

skating flat is all about finding a groove that isn't deep to begin with. This may just be rumor but I heard the new 50-50 frames have a lower groove. I could be wrong. I haven't rode them but the kizer frames seem to have too big of a groove for riding flat. You want a frame that covers your wheels as much as possible.
If that 50-50 rumor is true I'd go with those. Ables also worked well for flat cause that big ass h-block

50/50 core balance frames hands down. Been riding 57mm paz wheels flat on them and have had no problems whatsoever with wheel bite. Though i wouldn't suggest riding 57mm wheels flat if you are new to it or haven't ridden flat in a while. Up to 55mm would be perfect for someone that is not used to flat. Oh yeah also would ride bigger wheels (58mm) if my frames allowed since they are size small 50/50's the 1st and 2nd wheel would rub up against each other and not roll but that only applies for size small 50/50's.

that's why I was disappoint in mine. I had the first UFS 50/50 frames and that groove was nice and low. Then I got my rachards and they are huge. Those white and carolina blue ones look like they have about the same size groove as the juice frames (which was awesome but I never skated them flat). I want the kizer stream (was it stream or steam?) frames back. Those were the best flat riding frames I ever had.

Hmmm, these Cores sound like an interesting prospect. 50/50 has been down for blading since the beginning and I'd be happy to support them.

For the time being I'd go with the balance frames for flat over the cores just due to the low ass groove. But if what I think I saw was correct then the redesigned cores are gonna be the messiah of flat frames. As I said though this is all just speculation and going off of memory, which is sometimes distorted.

Dog, I'm ganna take a pic of my boys remz you tell me if there goofy. By far the best frames I've skated, and soon as I get paid I'm coppin a pair forsure.

Jess and Lawrence are so down for blading that it's ridiculous. Much respect to the brand. Support companies that support blading

Yeah word I agree, but Kizer has been around for a while too. I'd def. support 50/50, and I've never even had a pair 8) just because of the love for rolling

Yeah without a doubt you could do 58 in mediums or larges. Though like i said if your new to flat i wouldn't suggest it, have to without a doubt bend on all your groove tricks and do them proper. My groove from skating ledges is literally perfectly centered in the middle of the groove cause all the tricks i do i learned to lock/do them properly.

Get some small 50/50 core balance frames, which ever wheel size you feel comfortable with (53mm, 54mm or 55mm) up to 55mm you should be safe. Personally i like bigger wheels in any case but all about what feels good. Ride eulogy's flat as well, i think all other wheels are shit if you want a nice smooth and super fast ride get some eulogy's and craps in all of them. Should be safe getting Gonzo's, Egyptian team wheels, Dalnas or the Schrijns.

create originals, 4 fingers.Thats what she said.
Kizer needs to wise the fuck up and give Brett a pro frame. Actually every company he rides for needs to give him a pro model. No one promotes harder than that dude.

I skate the slimline and the elements flat and they are preeeetty much incredible!! 8) depends on how you like your frames to feel! if you skate a smaller wheel I recommend the slimline, however if you skate a 58 flat then get your hands on some elements and get your blades out and grind some really big stair ledges!

Been skating Elements for a week... AMAZING.
I hate Kizer's image, marketing, graphics, and even the way most of their frames look, but MY GOD these frames are sick.
