I went down to Revolution (http://www.revolutionskate.com) today (well yesterday) and picked up some TV.2's. It seems like they have changed their plastics in the shell,soulplates, and buckle strap to a softer material. It makes the boot alot more flexy and (so far) grinds somewhat slower.

So far at my local park the souls seemed a lil sticky. I swapped out my old midsouls so i dunno if they will slide the same way. i hope once they break in they are back to normal. im just used to valo plates sliding very good right out of the box, so this was kind of disappointing.

As for the shell, i skated it and it had ALOT more flex than older valo/m12 boot. personally i didn't really like it. It felt too...mushy? It just didn't feel as stiff as normal, so i decided to swap a white shell in there for good measure.

The skin is obliviously one of the main selling points of valos. And for these ones they look really really nice. My problem is they just seem thin. The skin as a whole just seems like alot less material and, in some spots, could possibly tear easily. The kevlar on the toe/sides seems to be very durable though.

I didnt skate the liners, but they did seem like a big step forward from the previous models.

All in all, i dig the skates. Some parts seem cheaper/poorer quality now, which is sad if they stay in that direction. it could just be me, or i it could be that the skates have changed manufacturers/materials. Hopefully after a couple sessions they start to slide like normal and all my worries go out the window. either way....yaaaaaaaaaay

exactly my thought. and it sucks. id rather pay the extra $40-50 for a quality skate w/ quality parts/materials. They could have just had the skins made in china, and the rest elsewhere. or at least keep the plastic in the soul area the same as it used to be....

bleh, i cant really give my full opinion untill i skate more though. i just hope it was the park that was sticky and not my skates.... :? :roll: i guess only time will tell.

This is what i was thinking too. this is their new "price point/entry-level" skate. still dunno why that would have them change the materials tho. i just hope your right and the pro models/LE's are better off. once i skate them again today i can give a better opinion. thanks for the feedback tho!

So, i went and skated my park for a hour tonight. first i just did a bunch of soul tricks on a curb to rough up the soul a little bit. i must say, after these inserts got broken in they slid pretty well again. im very glad about this. i still have not given the new midsouls a try, but im sure its the same thing.

The Skin on the other hand has me a little bit worried. its sooooo much thinner and very flimsy than all the other models. Now, i understand they are made in china...but c'mon now! I have a feeling if i had one real fall on street where my skate dragged they would tear very easily. The mesh-like parts are as thin as basketball shorts.

Yeah I just remembered my friends featherlites broke hella fast because he skated them freestyle with out the axels, definitely putting them back in. They feel so freaking solid as a skate, I love it.

You should, in my opinion they're ten times better than the previous skates I had. The Genesys skates,
if you don't remember me anymore:(

They are tight like the old school razors, but got somewhat of the same feel as the new ones. I
can't describe it, but I'm super picky with skates and that's one of the reason why I kept skating
the new school razors boots. But as soon as I got on these, it just felt like skating an upgraded
version of my old blaaades.

The original liners died a long time ago and the only other liners I had which were suitable for salo shells were the stock liners that came with my TRS A7's, which I never used and thus were brand new.
