I would have perfered black boot for sure. But sdsf only had the blue in and that is who I buy my skates from. (although I did have to venture out for the frames.)

Given the fact that the UFS holes in the soulplate line up perfectly with the screws in the boot I'd say it's just the angle the pic was taken from that lets them appear too far forward.

But if you say you dislike the middle placement of the groove on pretty much every skate there is right now I'm with you. I feel like I could skate the best in the OG M12 because of the shape/position of the royale/backslide spot.

I move my frame holes back about a quarter inch and then I drill tho holes for the soul plate screws.

Nah, there is no h-block in the frames anymore. The hitchhikers is more like a huge grindblock that expands all the way between the middle wheels.

Just tested them out on my basement ledge and the groove feels pretty nice...these are probably the best frames I've ever tried to skate flat. Here's hoping I stick to it. Also, I took out the quicklace system and they still feel great.

the groove is fine. it's the complete oposite of let's say a xsjado frame groove. while a xsjado frame groove lets the skate dance around, when you jump onto a trick with ables, there's no room for wiggling around or crooked torques. it always sits perpendicular to the rail or ledge. that the best feature of the frame, along with it being great for cess slides.

Monday, I'm in love with that frame design. I was also thinking about doing something similar. did you give it a try? with a bigger groove it might ride awesome.

Nah, I didn't skate it. Yes, it is awesome. But the block alone took me three hours to make. I was planning to put a few screws from the back of the frame into the block to attach both parts to one another. I then realised the back of the Type M isn't made to withstand the pressure it is exposed to when someone tries to backslide on these blocks.

I then came up with the idea to put the Mook axles through the block and frames to attach them this way. After I was done I remembered that wholes in grindblocks aren't that cool. I then quit.

The reason because the groove is so small is the fact that the material I am using is really hard to work with. Would have taken me half an hour to file a groove into a grindblock I already knew I won't use. I threw the stuff away before completing it.

The reason I tried to build this thing was to buy a Type M every now and then, sell the blocks they come with and then replace the selfmade blocks whenever I need new ones. Little did I know it takes hours to make the blocks alone... :?

I really liked that suspension system etc but I didn't like the groove (with antis or flat)
That's why i wanted to sell them and buy some used ones.

I rock a similar wheel-setup to resuk. I skate 67mm wheels with 46 mm UC grindwheels and they're pretty awesome. although, I don't like FL2s, I skate slimlines.
