The frames are the wrong size but I bought them from some kid in Arizona, He never even skated them. Pretty sure he just tried one of them on. The tags were still on and all.

Boots are a year old. Got new frames and soleplates for christmas. Cut the heelcap off myself. Strap didn't rip off, just the metal that covers the loop.

You would look sick in Rob G's, they seemed like solid skates when I tried Mahmouds. Only he broke one of the soul plates a few days after getting them (it was his switch negative, but they're all the same material so the durability of one = the durability of the rest) so I'm not sure how long they'd last you.

Carbons would be sick as well, thrones would be cool but it's such a huge leap from xsjados.

it's doable. there are enough of the older ones floating around. what do you have so far? the only problem i see in the shima journey is that the S3 was re released a couple times.

I have 4s, 7s at my house and 1s at a friends. My main hurdle is going to be the Shima 2 limited Edition I think and Original Shima 3s.

Srsly:

You need to remove the stuff in the front of the soulplate, you need tools to pull the shell into the soul (no UFS bolts available are long enough). I used the first generation soulplate and had to grind the front and the the excess material around the backslide area down. But that was only cosmetical. New wholes need to be drilled into the shell. Only one of the existing ones lines up. The UFS hole in the front needs to be drilled out, too. What else... No, that was it.

Sounds easier as it was. The hardest part was to make the shell fit into the plates. Or make it stay in the plates...

Need to figure out where to put my groove now... It works as it is, but Unities feel unstable and I slip out when balancing Royals towards the backslide spot. Soulgrinds are amazing.

Got these at Bittercold last year. Took me a long time to get the footwraps swapped out for the right size, and even longer to make the time to actually set them up, haha. I'd probably still be sitting on them if my old skates weren't stolen a month ago.

Small skeleton Schwabs, US10 wraps (fit like a small 9 though), large Creates, the last Leivanos wheels, blank 2R Plastiks, Crap Ceramics.

Straps up, padding down, cuff set between 8-8.5 and 9-9.5 settings, shortened toe straps, GC axles, gutted and re-did the tongue padding, lowered/remounted the ringholders, shaved inside instep mount. Tried to get creative with painting the Creates but I'm no artiste so I just went with the played-out splatterey thing.

I disliked how thick the damn tongue padding was, I just cut a slit and ripped all of it out. Surprisingly I still couldn't feel the plastic of the instep on my foot when I tightened them all the way.

bones red ceramics come from a chinese manufacturer. that being said you can find ceramic skate bearings for less than bones (1/2 to 2/3 cost). ceramics come in several different makes/grades. i have 6yr old BSB swiss that are still strong and fast and a set of ceramic skate bearings from a bearing manufacture. they feel solid but i am skeptical about their ability to take impact and side loads (mostly used by downhill longboard racing) but i dont do big gaps. when you buy bones you pay for quality and reliability.

Yup. You might get lucky with a cheaper bearing and they might last/perform well... or you can buy Bones and be sure.

Last I knew, Isaac wasn't planning on producing them. My set isn't a production or pre-production set; Isaac assembled them himself. So I guess that in a strictly semantic sense, they're only "Craps" in that that's what Isaac called them. "Isaac hooked me the hell up because he's awesome Ceramics" would be a more accurate name.

If you want the best bearing available, get some Bones Swiss Ceramics. Then you'd have what I have but with grey shields instead of brown.

I V-Cut the cuff of the skates as soon as I got a chance to ! So yeah, the liner fits in there pretty much perfect, and it works perfectly, too. Just wish they weren't so worn down...

Ye i removed the laces and liner and used some tabs off some old rollerblade liners. I think it works well and for such a small change improves the looks a great deal!

ok, so this is the last change up to my skates for a while. DW2s. Farmer 1 bases and complete straps. Farmer 4 CO completes w/ VW plaid inserts and salo axels. now i just gotta dig out the gti scarf that matches haha. i'm a whore for that material. also trying to decide on CF1, DL1, or DW2 footwraps. they all have benefits and drawbacks. CF1s are 8s and make the skate look much sleeker, but can be uncomfortable, DL1s make no pressure points and feel the best, but they are aged, and the DW2s are the best looking in the skate and make no pressure points, but the toe isn't reinforced and will get torn up pretty bad. life is hard.

Those wings push the shell together, giving the shell a narrow fit,
the wings also give the shell less flex to the side..

Cut the wings of the front soulplates, its a big differnce.

Take the front plate off, and try the shell on, see if you feel the difference..
It worked for me, i had sinister liners and jug murda liners.

on mine, i cut off the maxi pad and the part that covers the instep, shortened the toe straps, and switched the insteps so that the buckles are on the insides (xsjados should come stock like this, they look slimmer and you cant wreck the buckles imo). also switched the midsoul and the shock absorber to black as well.

not riding these yet, i have lots of other xsjados on the go but these were too good to pass up. i will probably get the black farmer shoe to put inside them, and black (loctited) kizer axles, the new 55/92 black SK street artists, and i'm pondering making black uhmw sliders for the salo frames. basically stealthed out, with the clear cuff and insteps.
