USD VII's with classic souls. No mod to the boot necessary but it was a bitch to line up the frame holes properly (that's what she said)
Might drill the boot to add some screws to hold the soul plates better.

Not talking about the hitchhikers, they may work fine... but I noticed the screws are "the other way around"... :)

Coming this week or early next week:

brand new pink shells (color defect, perfect structural integrity, will use black vinyl dye), some spray grey shells. 8 plastic rocker arms 7 of which have the bearing spacers, 5 yellow bushings, half of a jig tool which should work just fine, 8 stop pins and 8 axles but only 7 hex nuts.

That's on top of what I already have:

4 aluminum rocker arms with all of the pivot and stop pins for them, 4 yellow bushings, 4 hitchhikers and the pivot pins that keep them in place, 8 frame spacers that will no longer have a use...and two black shells that are toasted.

Amazingly awesome.

The plastic I've used for the blocks could be a little harder, but otherwise the frames work perfectly. Did groove tricks like I was skating Antirocker and skating on rough pavement was pleasant.

You mean from the top of the frame? I will provide any pics you want but I don't want to take off the frames atm. I have to remove the middle wheels to get access to the UFS boltz. Too much work rite naow, sorry.

No, but I should have. I used a rubber that has little sharp stones in it. No idea what they are called. While it worked really good on the bolts (made them a nice matte silver), I did a horrid job on the cuffs. I rubbed the color off partly, but also "massaged" the white dust into the plastic. Scraped it off with knife to finish the job.

Finally got my Fiziks set up, I'll have some hitchhikers by next weekend :D

I took them for a cruise down the street...Oh my God, I'm ruined now. How will I ever be able to skate normal frames again? Well, I still have an anti-rocker setup just in case I want to skate street.

Brian Lewis sent me a new pair of COs after my last pair snapped :D
had too many AM stickers and didnt know what to do with em, so yeah :P

went stair bashing for a bit and 2 cuff bolts, one on each skate (not shown on pic) just popped off, lol.

oh, and the CO stock frame spacers barely aren't large enough and keep falling off, so I enlarged all of the holes and put in some frame spacers from an old pair of Ables. Works like a charm <3

Set is sick for sure! But i have one question?....How have those fiziks been in the same condition for sooooo long, im sure ive seen them on the last 3-4 set ups for robert1 and they never seem to get more woren!
Just puzzles me as i rode some fiziks last summer when i picked up my boots again, didnt last much more tha 6 month of skating! (with hitchhicker ;.-)

Those anti's are 49mm, they skate amazing and until recently i was using my set for 3-4 years.

You're so right about the shitty plastic 42mm anti's most people tend to ride nowadays, they're the worst and are barely even noticeable on most frames.

i think i might quit skating flat until can get properly set-up with 56mm wheels and COs. Valo frames aren't designed to work with 8 down. They were great at first but the wheels aren't split far enough apart so my ever growing groove is preventing me from doing anything cool without getting caught up.

I paid 30 € for the frame set + wheels & bearings. They were new... ;)

I have no idea where to get them... But I can recommend this model. The frames are great. Not sure about the wheels. I think they are designed for slalom skating (really peaky shape) but I can't figure out if that's good or bad for skating downhill or in the streets. I'm not able to compare them to anything yet... ;) But I was amazed that they didn't show any wear after 2 hours of skating. They are 84A and I expected them to fall apart from the start... :D

I know for certain that Carbon 2s aren't offering enough support to properly stride with these. I skate my C2 über tight while trick blading and wasn't really able to tighten them enough to achieve proper support. Hope I can figure that out/adjust to it the next time.

Most speed/fitness/race skaters spend years gradually moving through progressively lower-cut "normal" fitness skates (K2's, Rollerblades, etc) before taking the leap into "real" race boots. Even then, many simply can't do it, and eventually give up and revert to low-cut "normal" boots (which coincidentally have a similar shape/construction and amount of support as as the Carbon2).

here's my freeskate setup right now. The only problem is that the frames feel a little unstable, but I know exactly how to solve this. :D

The parts of the frame that mount to the boot are uneven and the shell doesn't provide enough support to make it feel solid. Essentially what I'm going to do is take the bottom of the shell from the original skates (rollerblade somethings) and cut them to fit into the depressions in the bottom of the classic throne boot. Then it's a simple matter of drilling a few holes and lining everything up. I'll post pics and step by steps if I feel like, but I promise to at least show how the final product works. This my friends, shall be my magnum opus.
