how do they feel when skating? does the softboot part of the skate offer enough support, meaning they don't flop about inside around the toes?

I got the red ones second hand so i have no idea how old they are but the toe seems to take impact far better than expected. Have yet to skate the black ones but all materials used in the skin seem like a waaaay better. Stiffer, more dense, more padding, more wear resistant. Epic huge review once I get some use out of em.

Normally, I would agree with you. However, in this one instance, the red frames kind of add something to the 250's that would be considered "pushing it" on most other skates. Idk, do what you want, but they look great as they are.

Replaced the extremely tall stock Nimh liner with my OS Liners. I had to cut the cuff down to keep it from digging in to my heal but, I have to say it came out really good. My feet feel a lot more secure in the Remz liners mainly because they lace up unlike the stock liners. I think they look a hell of a lot better than the Nimh liners too.

They're pretty thick in the ankle but, the foot part of the liner is relativly thin. Not nearly as thin as the stock cloth liners though. I have no experience with carbons so I don't know how well they would fit in that shell.

They're not as padded or stitched as say Trust liners but, I wouldn't say they're minimalist in style or construction. They're very well made. Double stitched on all seams, neopreen toebox, good lace system, really thick in the ankle padding and they form very well to the foot when on.

tan carbons i got off of aggressive mall for $99(tiny foot deal size 6)
theyre dyed a dark red/burgundy
I purposely got the red soulplates/buckles to dye black so the red comes through when they get worn
and those are the salomon frames i got from you(thanks) with red st-60 plates and dyed black cozmos
I also am using the salomon heel pads

You should cut and sew the back of the skin to match the cuff or at least be flat. That would look amazing.

How tough is the boot? a nice sharp hobby knife or box cutter should do the trick. I use a hobby knife and some hockey stick tape as a guide line. just take your time I did this with some M12's and will be doing it to another M12 boot that recently arrived.

It's not that the boot is tough, I'm just not as good with a blade as I am with the dremel. I picked up another cutting tool at walmart yesterday. Hopefully I can find some time today to finish my project and get some skating in.

I finished the fabrication part of my project nimhs. I decided against shaving the eyelets off and decided to just split the toebox instead. They're easily the most comfortable skates I've ever rolled in now.

I ditched my kaltiks as they were wack. I just didn't have enough patience to get a decent groove. All my tricks were sliding around sideways so after 3 weeks I went back my slimlines. Now I got these FLT1's for free from a friend so I gonna give them a try. I never liked the FLT1's as I hate axles that aren't recessed deep enough. but whateva, free frames are frames so I'll see what they are like. Plus I got these Damien 1 souls in a trade so I'm rocking these
