Thread: Lightest skates ever?!

  1. #1

    Default Lightest skates ever?!

Remember these ST80s I bought that I thought were too small for me?

I tried 'em on this morning with Remz liners & thin socks and voilą, like a glove. So I started setting 'em up in my head, and realised they're gonna be the lightest skates ever. But I won't call "lightest ever" and not back it up with actual measurements.....and I must give others the opportunity to prove me wrong.

So who's in? We'll set the ground rules in this thread if there's any interest.

Just weigh the skate boot only. Post it, and any one with a "contender" can weigh their skate. All competitors need to be the same size, so post size.

Nah complete, and it has to be your A setup.....do what you want to it, but you gotta skate it exactly as you submit it. And for the sizes we'll factor weight by metric measurements e.g. 27, 30, whatever.

    My invisible carbons are weightless.

my setup at size 11 US weighs just over 5 lbs (2.26 kg) per skate.

I love kids. They're short, highly emotional people who don't know anything. They rely on their creativity and imagination to get by in the world. A world, I might add, filled with giants. Amazing feat.

This thread is just for establishing a contest, not for throwing your bad boys down. Another rule.....we need a pic of skates on digital scales showing the weight, like at UPS or whatever. I'm thinking weight in grams, divided by metric size and the lowest factor wins.

I know kids might knock me for saying this but after all these years skating every skate around i ended up on usd realms. I normally have to wear a size 9 boot since im a 8 1/2. With the realms i can wear a 7 boot with a size 9 jug precise liner and they fit me so damn perfectly and are so very light. I really want to weigh them because i put them up against some 10 carbons with the same kizer slimline setup and they were about the same. Only thing that sucks is the retarded placement of the bs plate to the rear.
