Rollerblading magazines of the past would have had that kind of shit printed in the Misinformation or similar sections. This is why I don't find the modern rollerblading magazines as enjoyable.

Just to explain myself further because I knew people were not going to understand my writing at 1am in the morning. I identify with Franco because he has similar issues that I once had not really in rollerblading but through high school and what not. Mental disabilities that affect the way a person controls impulsive behavior or anxiety are not anything to be talked about with condescension. However, Franco realizes he has these issues and chooses not to deal with them or does not have the ability to deal with them because he has not taken an active role in helping himself. Anxiety is a bitch it strangles you until you feel like you are going to die. Sometimes you want to do the right thing but it turns out to be the wrong thing. You want to say the right thing but shit comes out of your mouth because you are not capable of expressing yourself constructively and confidently. That being said I have sympathy for the guy because I kind of understand where he is coming from and I work with kids that have similar issues.
Ok then my contradiction that is because I am a rollerblader and have been for about 15 years. I think taking things from the industry, causing people to stress, talking to pro rollerbladers and pretending they are your friends, imposing on people in order to get what you want, and on top of that not even really ever skating is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. It is one thing to be kind of awkward and socially lost it is another to manipulate people to get something in return whether it is a place to stay or products or whatever. You have to understand that I had faith in the guy and thought he was going to be able to just have a good time and not impose on me or the other people I had staying at my place. I was really hoping that he was going to skate and just have fun. I was frustrated that weekend because I had friends staying with me that were much more deserving of a place to stay because I know they are good people.
I can have to opposing opinions within myself. I can feel sympathy for someone for his or her disability but not approve of his or her behavior. It is hard to see where the disability begins and ends. Sometimes people blame their disability for everything that happens. I feel like if you are medicated and taking an active role in trying to change your behavior that the disability is usually lessened and sometimes compensated for. Then there is something called learned helplessness where you want everyone to feel sorry for you and you manipulate the situation to your advantage and gain whatever it is that you feel you want or need.
So yeah I have sympathy and empathy for him as a person but I also feel if he stole from SDSF and Them GOODS that he should be treated as a criminal because it is a criminal act to steal anything let alone rollerblading stuff. He says that some kid gave it to him and that now that Matt has it everything is cool. Well that’s not the world works if you steal or are accused of stealing you better come clean and explain him self to all that have been affected. I told him to do so and he felt it was not worth it because nobody understands him and people just always talk shit. Well I told him the right thing to do and I think you would all agree that just giving back the box to Matt is enough. He needs to apologize and own up to his actions or he needs to explain exactly what happened.
