Default anyone try on/have size 7 carbonz? (sizing question)

wondering if 7 will be too small.

what are they closest fitting too?

i know the smallest 7s ive ever tried are full shell valos. i fit into every other size 7 skate no problem, razor gens and SLs are pretty roomy and cults are about just right.
usds, classic and ufs are both kinda roomy
    nimhs are about perfect.

any experience with heat molding? does it fuck the boot up? does it actually work/give you more room?

any info is helpful thanks guys!

I tried Carbons in a size 7 yesterday. Size 7 cults fit me perfectly. Size 7 valos are tight with the toe cut. 7 Nimhs are larger on me. I felt the 7 fit pretty good maybe a little on the loose side. I had a good amount of room in the toe but not enough to size down. I think another insole would fix the problem.

I wear a size 7 salomon and my big toe rubs a lil( i stretch the shell just around the big toe so they're perfect).
When I tried on the size 7 Carbon they were super tight but evenly tight all around the toe box.
I don't know how they break in. Seems like they could have fit.
Sorry if that didn't really help.

so size 7 salomons are a touch tight in the toe for ya? for me sz7 salos are like just right and if i put my heel all the way back i actually have some room.

and with the carbons being tight, could u tell where any pressure points were? hows the heel area? i can huge calcaneus bones an they stick out awkwardly far.

I have 7 Carbons, tried about every skate over the years. Though size 7 Valos i still have a bit of room in non toe cut ones. 7 Carbons fit probably the smallest out of all the skates ive tried but i still have a little room to the point where it is comfortable. Nimhs had alot of extra room for me so if 7 nimhs are perfect you might want to get size 8 Carbons.

I can't even fit in a 7 valo with the toe cut, but 7 carbons were a little big on me.

Weird Tim, now that i think about it id say the non toe cut Valos i tried were the same as my 7 Carbons. But my Carbons are definitely not bigger than the Valos, i've only had 1 person actually fit into them besides myself. Pretty much all my friends tried that are 7's in other skates and can't fit without their toes being crushed.

In my admittedly pretty limited experience with how the skates fit me, I'd put them pretty much right on par with M12/Valo shells (non-toe-cut). If you have fat heels, though, that might mess the fit up a bit, as in your heel may not be able to sit all the way back into the heelcup and would of course then be pushing your toes into the front of the skate.

Heat-molding, I'm pretty good with, from selling speed skates for years, but I have not done it with Carbons. They're supposed to be the same material as Powerslide's speed skates, which I have not worked with but are supposed to be just as moldable as Bont, Miller, etc, so I would imagine is totally doable.

Powerslide should send me a set of those new Cabrone's to play with and I can do a heat-molding tutorial

Actually now this post has me thinking I might have been wrong on the actual size of the carbons. They might now have been 7s.

Yea, make sure you're not looking at the UK size.

for what it's worth, my sz.7 carbons fit inside a valo skin with room to spare, so carbons definitely they fit larger in my opinion. that doesn't even account for the thickness of the valo shell or a replaceable liner. i know i could barely ride my sz.7 valos with a toe cut, and my carbons fit like a glove.

What? that didn't make any sense unless im reading it wrong, if a 7 carbon can fit into a valo skin which im assuming is a 7 that means that they are smaller than valos.

No, they'd fit bigger, as they're one piece, whereas Valos have a shell and then a liner. Not the most scientific comparison at all though. It really speaks more to the ultra-low-bulk-factor of the Carbons (i.e. they add minimal mass to your feet).

Ah thank you Al. Still just from my experience of trying valos on non toe cut and my carbons which were both size 7. They fit the exact same to me.

thank you, thats what i needed. with the toe cut and super thin liners (deshi dk4/ dem george legacy sifikas), size 7 valos fit like a glove, a tight glove. if i were to get the cr4b0nez id go for an 8.
