The hole in this plan is that many boots are technically not UFS compliant.....they use their soulframe as a boot-to-UFS adaptor. USS might work well for Salomons, UFS Thrones, Genesys and other flat-soled boots but not for Valo, Nimh, Classic Thrones etc.

I wish it was financially doable to have a company that made custom universal soul/frames, aftermarket skins etc. I LOVE messin around customizing boots, seeing what works with what and it would be great to get a custom fitted soul/frame system. I do think that making custom aftermarket skins would be a good idea, not sure about the legalitys of it though.

USS should be Universal Shell Sizing...single size shells all measuered to the same sizes from brand to brand so we dont have to skate a 9 in Roces and a 7 in USD.

The discrepancy in sizes is not due to a single measurement (length). Different brands use different lasts, which is the foot form that the shell follows. It can be wider, with a higher instep, etc. Making all skates the same would mean that a lot of people would get screwed because not everybody has a standard shaped foot.

Still think single size shells from every company would be a lot better than sharing.
