Thread: Gonzo Question Not About the skate

Default Gonzo Question Not About the skate

the USD advertisement running for Gonzo wishes him luck in the future etc. I'm assuming he has too many real-life commitments to be a pro-blader anymore. Is this the case?

I was j/w cause the guy truly is a legend.

oh shit... haha sorry I'm apparently blind, and retarded. Thought it was a print ad.

I'm pretty sure he still skates once in a while but not for any companies now.

Life's responsibilities make it difficult to dedicate so much time to blading with little to no monetary return. Rollerblading is infectious though and there will always be the urge to strap up in the back of your mind. When the air is still and the brews are chill Gonzo will roll. Orale brother!

arlo also made a shit ton of money off rollerblading. he was in Newsweek top 100 businessmen to watch for. he was doin it when rollerblading had mad cash. he wasn't some kid living in the hood of LA making a couple hundred bucks a month total off all his sponsors.

its like this...you know your friend from high school who now has a job and kids and therefore can't go kick it with you and watch movies and shoot hoops (or whatever) because he has to raise his family and work and stuff? that's gonzo with blading.

sometimes real life happens, that's when your hobbies (no matter how much you love rolling, it's a hobby, a past time, literally a way to pass time) lose 1st place and you learn to prioritize your life.
