Default First day on Valos today

My AB.1 Black's came in today (thanks RW)

I was skeptical they would fit, since im an 8.5 in xsjado and these are 8's, but they fit like a glove right out of the box.

My last 2 pairs of skates were Xsjados and just wanted to try something new.

After a session today i can say that i have never felt more confident in a pair of skates. So much support, perfect flex, and just feel solid. Xsjados are amazing, dont get me wrong, but i started getting frustrated with the fact that they felt floppy (even when brand new).

Unreal fast souls (only skated park) and royale was perfect. Not to mention, torques feel sooo good. Also, with the raised heel, i was able to pump so much better.

Idk, just thought id share my first impression coming from Xsjado to Valo. Still love Xsjados, no complaints (ok a few), but i dont think i will skate anything other than Valo for the rest of the time i skate

THANK YOU! I've been saying this since I tried those turds (Xsjados) but everybody looks at me like I am crazy and tells me they're super supportive, which is pure bullshit.

Same boot as roces m12's which i regret never buying or trying once. i hated my valos after a while though. probably 'cause i skated pvc every day and it melted the souls to shit.

roces old majestic 12 boot lies beneath the skin of valos. roces started in around 1981 or so.
rollerblade and roces have been whoring out that boot ever since. and even tho there has been 100's of "revolutionary" skates to come out since(remz, xsjado, deshi), in 2009 the hottest skate is the valo broskow using that boot with a bunch of shit mounted on it

nu uh, They feel nice to me. (tho I have huge ass feet)

My only beef with Xsjado is the wear and tear. They can't take a lot of punishment (IMO) And every pair I've skated, I've cracked the shell within 3 or 4 months of skating. And it doesn't just 'break' like most skates. Its a little bit at a time. Like they want to see you eat shit as much as possible before they say "fuck you" and die.

Love the Concept, but I'd change a couple things about them to make em stronger if I could.

valo is fsking bad ass though, you can't really go wrong with them

I always felt like I could never get Xsjados tight enough, they fit my feet well enough but it seemed like the ankle was just going to flop over no matter how tight I pulled the little straps.

Let's not say things we can't take back. What about Carbons.

problem i had with xsjado is similar, either too loose and floppy, or tight enough but dug in at random places.

just to throw this into the mix, i also dislike the new carbons, razor gen shalls ftw.
