how much is beers at bars... i have only been to 2 bars since i turned 21 and i didn't buy either time so i was just curious how much they charge.

um, depends what kind of bar. cheap beer runs from 2-5 bucks. like highlife, pabst, lonestar, pearl, etc. domestics are like 5-6 and imports are like 7-8. at least at the bars i've been to.

Dollar drafts Wednesday nights at a bar down the street.

pretty much 2 to 4 dollars round here, I rarely see higher.

Since you're (just) of age, you'll learn quickly to drink at home heavily before you hit a bar.

But you go out enough, you'll find a bar that's got a good jukebox/atmosphere with (In SF) $2.50/$3 cans bottles drafts.

Also: Carry a flask when you go out. It'll save you $20-$50 a night.

you are in cali so expect to see some inflated prices. a beer on a cheap night in my city is like 1-1.50 (this is at bar that is popular with college age people age 21-25ish ) normal nights its like 2-3 dollars (for domestics) imports are a dollar more or so and 5+ for something real tasty.

this is the high and low end of the spectrum, low end being a hole in the wall bar, high end a fancy club

domestic bottle or draft(bud miller coors etc)
2-8$(getting charges 8$ for a bud light at a night club in miami is horrible)
mixed drinks
4$-12$(happy hour is where its at, either 4-7pm, or later night when the bar is closing, half off generally)
import beer
4-10$(the more micro brew stuff will cost u more, but most bars r not selling really good beer, so unless ur looking for it, look around $5 for a Heiniken/corona/ what ever import u like)

but yes, pre gaming at home is what u need to do, esp if ur going out to a club or some where u know will cost alot. get ur self 3/4 drinks in, so when u go just order a couple and ur chilling.

Yeah, bar drinking is expensive and stupid to do repeatedly. Well...to get shit face drunk...it's stupid to do repeatedly. Follow others advice. Pre-drink at home or carry a flask. It will save money. And don't let anyone talk you into buying a mixed drink. Those fucking things are like $10 a glass.

The bar where my sister works sells beer on tap from 98 pence, which is about a buck fifty, nothing here is really more than £3.50 which is around $5.50.

find a bar with low foot traffic and barely no women, a television you can control, and order the same drink all the time.
