Thread: NYC

    Default NYC

I posted this earlier today(sorry if you already read it) but there was hardly anyone on, so here it goes...

I have always had this fascination with NYC. It just seems so tight, so much shit going on, so many people. How is it actually living there, I can't imagine living in such a place, my head would explode with enjoyment. Is it as tight as I think or really just an overcrowded metropolitan city? I want to take a trip there, probably this summer...What the fuck should I do? Worthwhile places to visit, things to do? Good places to go get wasted that are appropriate(not too nice, too shitty, age app. etc) and anyone from there who reads this please fill in anything I'm missing, I just thought of this in the last few days.

Times square is dope, everywhere else is dirty and full of homeless people.

shit, hopefully I don't completely fall in love with it, I probably will though, and end up moving there as well. shit ,I bet its so sick, i am getting really excited(REantz) but where are some in depth answers of like good bars, hotels, etc. Ohh yeah, that random rambling reminds me, if anyone knows of a sick hotel (price not really a factor i'm going with my Dad) please tell, I want some inside info. I would love to go there and be like yeah check out all these sick places i got intel on from my internet friendzz!

    hahaha

im actually in the city right now and lived in queens till i was 10 or so. id say if you have money then living in the citys the shit, if not then living in the city will be like shit haha

id personally rather live outside of it in a borough but that's just me. you'll definitely love the atmosphere though. hope you have a good trip.

stay at the plaza hotel or the palace.

Manhattan don't suck at all, you just have to find the right hang out. I'm usually downtown around union square or the low eat side if i'm looking for a bar or a party to go to. But when it come to shopping i'm usually on the upper east side. You can find everything in new york city.

stay wherever ya like. NY is dope but not for everyone. Some ppl can't handle the pace and we have a ridiculously high unemployment and homeless rate. Ppl that can't survive in NY either move out or crack under the pressure.
PS: NY is dope. let me know if ya ever make it.

new york city is the shit. it's hard to get a feel for it on a trip because even if you know some of the better places to go from locals, you still gotta check out the touristy shit that no one ever does really. it's hard to recommend places i guess without knowing what you're into. i lived in manhattan for 2 years and now i've lived in brooklyn for 2 and i love it here so much more, at least for living and having a place to go to that's a little more relaxing. there's a ton of cool shit in my neighborhood and i'm only 15 minutes away from manhattan for when i need to go. i think the rule with new york is if you can make it a year you'll like it (or at least get a taste of summer and winter) but if you bitch out too soon then you won't. it's expensive, dirty, crowded, and fucking amazing.

worst advice. times square is over crowded, annoying, touresty and bum filled.

i live in the city and love everything about it. i dont know if you'll get the full experience by visiting (cause you'll end up doing touresty things i.e. times square) but you might have a bunch of fun and fall in "luv" as you put it, if you know some locals.
