kaya tursky drop in thingy from tsb like 3 years ago i think. origionally i printed these negatives on top of each other, but i couldent get as good as results by doing it in photoshop, but figured id post it anyways

beleive it or not, it was a flood light.

it looks more like a light than a flash so i felt dumb after i posted that, but why put the flood light facing the stairs instead of on the rail? hah

it was on the rail, the SS was around 1/160, f/3.5, iso 1600, and i did alot of processing in nikon picture project to get the image brightened.

also, the background is dark, and so is his pants and shirt, so they kinda fit in together.

so basically, it was a bitch to get that shot

i have nikon capture now, so it'll be way easier to manipulate it.

quality doesnt look that bad at all, only thing that killed it is the compression.. The last portrait is pretty rad.

well, it wasn't really my choice.
i asked for a d50 for christman, thinking i'd get the kit lens with it.
half of the stuff we buy that's over $500 comes from ebay.

my parents were on a budget last year for christmas, so they bought a kit off of ebay for $650.
it came with the body, tamron lens, camera bag, cleaning kit, a 1gig card, and a SD card reader.

and that's just how it turned out! i'm cool with it though, i just ordered the 50mm 1.8, and i may be getting the 18-70 dx for my birthday (20 or so days)
